No, I don't think that's the case, but it couldn't hurt to give it a rest every now and then.

probably for ps3 but not for wii since wii is just a gamecube on steroids while a ps3 is a powerhouse like the 360

I recently bought my 360 and it's been played on for about 16 hours straight with no problems. The only thing I would suggest would be to make sure the 360 has PLENTY of space around it AND BEHIND IT, to get rid of hot air. The fans within the 360 work fine as long as there's good airflow around the 360. Also, I'd suggest getting the 2 year extended warrant for 60 bucks. Well worth it, in my opinion, and it adds 2 years to the 1 year warranty so 3 years of protections sounds good to me.

Also, be careful with the King Cooler and the Nyko Intercooler because many people claim that it destroys their 360. Opinions split about 50/50 on whether it helps or hurts it.

If you check the net krazyhick, there are a lot of incidents about 360's overheating, so you just might be lucky.

Besides... think of the wasted power... and conserve LOL!

I should probably consider that. I leave it on aswell as my computer on all the time. I rarely turn them off.

I had one of the second shipment (Janurary) and it hasnt broken or overheated yet. The worst that happened was the occasional freezing on NBA 2k6.
