What is the Kadoatery? The Kadoatery is a game on Neopets. You have to feed Kadoaties (Kad) the food they require. In doing so you will be given points and trophies for your lookup! You receive one point per Kad fed. At 1 point you receive a bronze trophy At 10 points you get silver At 25 points, gold Then at 75 points the ultimate prize, the Kadoatery Avatar After 75 points you don’t gain anything except the fact you have more than other people. How do I feed the Kads? There are 3 main methods of feeding the Kads. • The inventory (invent) feed • The Shop Wizard (SW) feed • The Safety Deposit Box (SDB) feed Kads require specific foods, which can be found here http://www.neopets.com/~Silverjojo The Inventory Feed The invent feed is the easiest and most recommended. For this I use Firefox because it has the search function which stays on screen. So basically for this type of feeding you have a bunch of items from the Kad food list in your inventory. It is best to have items with the same word in their name, for example “Altadorâ€. There are 10 or so Kad foods with the word “Altador†in their name, which will fit nicely into your inventory. Now, here’s the bit which gives you the edge over other invent feeders. Before you start feeding, with Firefox, press CTRL+F and it will bring up the find option at the bottom of the browser. In this put the common word (the word that is in your foods), in this case “Altadorâ€. When the Kads refresh (see below) press f5 and have your mouse already over the FIND button. Click the find and when the page goes to that word, click on the picture of the Kad. If you fed it, it will tell you. If someone else fed it, it will also say. If this is the case, either wait till next time or quickly press the back button and try one of the methods below. If the find button didn’t bring you to an item, there wasn’t one in that refresh, so wait till next time. The Shop Wizard Feed Instead of having items in your inventory, you have a shop wizard page already open. When the Kads refresh quickly copy and paste one of their foods into the shop wizard and buy the item, then go back to the Kad page and click on the picture. This, depending on how slow you are, is quite a good method and works even better when you’re using the Super Shop Wizard. The Safety Deposit Box Feed Much like the Shop Wiz feed, but with your SDB open on another page. Copy and paste the item into the search facility and remove it from the SDB. Then click on the Kad. This is my personally least favourite method, but it works for some. When do the Kads refresh? The Main: The Kads will refresh minimum every 28 minutes, at pends of 7 minutes. For example, say the main was as :01, the next time to refresh would be :08, then the next :15. The Mini: The mini only happens when an item get fed a few minutes before or after the main restock. Let's say the main restock went at :00, and then someone fed a Blue Draik Egg at :15. That's 15 minutes after the main. Because it was fed at a different time than the rest of the Kadoaties, it will then have its own restock cycle. Usually, minis usually only consist of 1 or 2 Kadoaites although there have been cases when there were 4! The minis and main will eventually merge into one main restock again. (thanks to Carmen for this info on minis!) Kad Boards There will usually be a few Kad feeding boards on the chat boards. One on the AC, one on the Games Chat and one on the Premium boards. They use strange terminology so here’s a translation GLF – Good luck feeders CF – Congrats feeders HN – Had nothing INVENT – Inventory feed SW – Shop wiz SDB – Safety deposit box Pend/pending – If the main hasn’t refreshed at its expected time, means waiting for the main to refresh. Actually. It is easier to not use the SSW, it does find the cheapest item overall, but it is slower in finding the item. Therefore you lose a split second.
but you dont have to switch between tabs, which i find easier you can have it right next to the kad page, meaning when you buy the item, you click straight away on the pic. giving a split second advantage
But you could just resize another firefox window to make it smaller and use normal SW, therefore getting the best of both
This definitely was a helpful guide. I wasn't 100% sure on how the Kadoatery worked and when it refreshed, but I definitely do now! Its also hepful since I'm trying to make a Auto-Kad feeder and its pretty hard when you dont know exactly how it works. + rep

i hope.. i will feed 1 kad.. thats equivalent to 1 bronze trophy. at least has a shining trophy on the cabinet.
very userful guide...I used to fed kads in my main account, I fed 100 of them without autof, it's not so hard o.o and it's addictive..
