    well guys.. im just wondering..
Will You Believe That Time Machine will be invented?

for me it will not be invented because it sounds impossible.

by the way this is my 1000th post.

I don't know if it will be invented or not the only thing I know is that things that looked impossible in the past are possible now...planes,long distance communication, internet etc...
So maybe, who knows what the future will bring us :)

With the new string and 10 dimension theories, I'd guess it would be possible.
But how to do so seems less likely to be figured out.
Anywho, I have no idea :D

for example you want to go back in the dinosaur age.. you will go back there and kill and bring the dead dinosaur to your present year. And you can advanced to specified year you want..
and see when the worlds ends.. lol

    that sounds impossible.

Doing that would probably mess up quite alot.
Either it would create a self-fulfilling prophecy, or it would create an alternative reality, to go all sci-fi nerdish :p

    ^^

I think that if it did happen first it would take years to make then trial then it would cost to much. I don't get why someone would fund it really.

Idk. Time seems to be to hard to manage.

    xD.

Yea I guess it can be possible, since there is already a theory of Einstein about that.
If you travel faster than light speed, you can go back to the past.

Its possible, many things science fiction become science fact. One thing to bear in mind though, if its invented in the future surely we would be seeing time travelers from the future here in the present.?

Yea I guess, but it would be kinda confusing, imagine you see yourself coming from the future :p

If it was invented, then it would have to be very carefully controlled, since theres so many theories around to what would happen if someone went back and did something in the past.

    Let me tell you something.

When Albert Einstein died in his very last seconds he wrote the Equation of Time and that was the last image on his retina. All that remains from Einstein is his brain and his eyes which experts try to decode the last image.

Yup, when we die the last image remains upside down in our eyes.

So when experts will resolve the Equation of Time a Time machine isn't far away.

But it would require tremendous energy to power it up and extreme care to not alterate the past :p

I think Will Smith and some other 'actor' did that in Wild Wild West :p

I doubt they will make a time machine but perhaps one day they will be able to travel at the speed of light and hence go back in time that way...

lol it's impossible to travel through time... I can't even try and explain this...
but time travel will never be possible, with any kind of research....

    Please elaborate =)
You know, people have belived that we wouldn't be able to fly, breathe under water or visit space at times in history.
Therfore it doesn't seem impossible to travel through time, only that it doesn't seem likely.

And it's not only that, there are already theories that make that possible so I wouldn't say it's not impossible...

i think it probably can be done.. but the amount of energy required to accelerate us to such high speeds (3x10^8) would be ENORMOUS. plus, with such high acceleration needed, we'd probably die of exposure to extreme g-forces before we even got there.

There may be another source of energy yet to be discovered with much more power, though.
