Yea I think you might be right, but it is possible for entropy to decrease but the increase of entropy in the rest of the universe is so great that it just averages out whatever decrease in entropy there is. So youd need some huge release of energy to defy this, but i doubt theres anything like that.
ali913xx-> Very true, I can't see any other reason for time travel than to study the past (species, historical events etc.) or to take care of major conflicts that are very recent. ionutg40-> You try those things and let me know how it works out for you Personally I would never attempt to travel in time or do so unless I had an extremely good reason that wouldn't be just personal.
string theory is bloody intreaguing i can tell you that I've been trying to imagine the depths our universe and others can go to and it is amazing. Of course, I'm only A level physics so i cant really say im an expert on the matter. But you know what guys, we just need a tardis.
well this is a battling topic.. for me its 4% that time machine will be invented.. because inventing that is quiet hard... .. you need to learn more about science
we just need more geniuses in our generation.... I mean... back in the day... There were some really smart people.. People were inventing things like crazy!!! Now it just seems like... we havnt advanced MUCH lately There that hawkings guy.. but really... no one fantastically smart other than him...
Well people are inventing things these days. The ideas are just not as good as they used to be: But the thing is probably that people are coming up with huge inventions and ideas, they just don't seem as big since there's a whole bunch of them. And the real modernisation stagnation has only been like 150 years or so. I read somewhere that "95% of what we know in 50 years will be discovered during those 50 years". That's quite alot to me. I think we're just more hungry for using science these days, and therefore every step seems smaller. Man, I can't wait 'til I'm 70
Currently going at the speed of light is imposible. but as you get closer to the speed of light time slows down. so you can go into the future but it is a one way trip. Going into the past is impossible since time goes forward and not reverse. Though it is debated weither or not remote viewing can to some degree see the past.
I belive it could be possible already astronuts times slows down by several hours so technically they are going back in time. also einstien has proved the formula we just need a machine/something that can manipulate it.
If a time machine was ever invented, punkeydew is right. It will only be possible to travel into the future. We won't be able to travel back in time because of the time paradox.
It's not possible. You'd have to go at the speed of light. Which is several million miles per SECOND. o.0
Tofurky, if you see the last post in the topic you can see you just gravedug. Don't worry, you won't get a suspension or a ban, just don't do it again. - locked - ricky92
