do you think the pharmaceutical companies have the cure??? i think they do...but its not worth their money to release it. this is because...what creates more money in the long run, a lifetime of tablets or just the one cure that could cost anything from £500+ i also believe that if a very important person, like the royal family etc, were to contract HIV then the cure would surface. That would mean hushing up everyone that had a part in creating the cure or even just knew about the cure. Not something that's really feasible imo. I mean some random janitor who found out about it could potentially black mail the pharmaceutical company billions of dollars just to keep quiet.
no I think they do not Because releasing this cure would mean world fame and TONS of money. Any company would be dying to be the first the find the cure. That is a little far fetched
They don't, one because it goes against peace Corps and it violates one of the ammendments. two They would have to keep too many people hush hush and hat is MAJOR black mail for them. Three They would gain a ton of profit from an aids cure, the first aids cure would mean other companies would want to buy it from them. :shock: Um, believe me. There are thousands and thousands of people who would pay 1000 dollars to be cured of HIV/AIDS. Most people pay WAY more than that at doctor's offices trying to get cured.
This world, moreso the U.S., is revolved around money. Money money money. With that said, I don't think the world is so money involved that they will hold out on a cure we desperately need for long term investments. Yes, we all like money, but we like the human life even more.

Good point.. BUT, I really think some other country that has better priorities will more likely find the cure.. I mean, Bush (or any president) is NOT the "world" leader so he can't control what information other countries let out.

nah, i think theyd release it. itd take a lot of good docs to find a cure, and most of the time, at least ONE of them has the heart to save millions of lives, no matter for how much money they get bribed lol
aw i dunno like...just thinking about it, with the nature of the virus because its a retrovirus it constantly mutates and so maybe there will never be a cure....although it is getting MUCH weaker in itself so maybe it will just die out as predicted
It's getting weaker? Where did you hear that from? Can you quote some sources because thats very interesting to hear. I didn't know AIDS/HIV could get weaker over time. I thought it would actually get stronger. I know that there are drugs that can help a person live for a long time after contracting HIV. Like Magic Johnson, he's had HIV for like 15 years now. Or does he finally have full blown AIDS? I have no idea.

thats true but think about area 51 they keep all that stuff top secret there are ways to keep things under wraps*coughs*... bribes...*coughs* just remember area 51 and i don't think they'd have janitors go about cleaning that if they do have it the scientists would probably have to keep it clean so it doesn't escape the circle of scientists who discovered it...
