So yeah, starcraft 2. About time they made it

Who's gonna get it?

 

I played Starcraft at my mates place and didnt really get into it but he is obsessed with it!Hes been telling me about wanting this to be made for ages! I guess his dream finally came true

 

LOL! but holy crap, they made starcraft 1 in 1994 now blizzard is going to release starcraft 2 in december of 2007.
I used to like that game, but after a while it gets boring

 

i gonna get starcraft 2 ... heh

 

Starcraft 2 looks pretty good I've played the first one a couple times and it was fun, but I'm also pretty sure my computer won't be able to handle the second one...so I won't be getting it.

I really don't know.. I used to play sc a whole ton but then I got into rs...

 

I've been waiting for this forever! I can't wait! The graphics are going to be intense, as well as all the new structures/characters.

Ive played starcraft for the last 6 years and I love it.. My cousin showed it to me in sunriver!

All the races now are totally equal. What was your race before? (mine was protoss)

 

im definatly getting it, starcraft 1 is starting to get boring to me, need some new mutliplayer maps

 

why dont you make maps then? i mean, starcraft does have a campaign map editor

 

The Second Coming of RTS has arrived

I have had and been playing Starcraft online since the battle chest came out. (2000 maybe?)

No other game before or since have I experienced with a better combination of online play and a quality gaming experience. Even after playing Empire Earth, Warcraft 3, and other newer rts games I and thousands of others who log onto battlenet every day and night still believe Starcraft reigns supreme.

What makes SC so great is that the playerbase embraced not only the "Melle" or classic version of base creating, base killing gameplay online but also the UMS (Use Map Settings) version of things.

Use Map Settings allowed anyone with an imagination and a game editor to create an entirely new grand scenario!

Some Classics:
*Defencelayers defend zones against onlslaughts of continually harder units

*Golemslayers spawn units to attack other players. Kills are rewarded with points used to create super units

*WW2 The Final Hour:World War 2 map with splitscreen of Pacific and European theatres.

*Strategic Warfarelayers are given units and must use the strategically in each scenario because the outcomes of battles effect the next spawns

*Civil War Maps: Many maps were made to emulate the american civil war and most were fun (if not time consuming)

I love Starcraft and can only hope they only improve with Starcraft 2

 

never tried the original starcraft before but im gonna buy SC2 when its released cause of all the hype :\.
But at any rate, i believe strategy games are dying out and MMOs are taking over.
