hmm well tbh both extremes are pretty bad... I would choose to be super-fat, because at least then I could work it off. People who are super-anerexic hafto spend the rest of their lives eating slush =S

Neither is better. Healthy is best. To be skinny can cause the body to to shut down because not enough nutrients are being taken. The body eats itself, unless you have a high metabolism and can eat a lot and convert it into energy. Fat is not good because there is also health problems. The foods that are actually taken in are not being digested and is being converted to unhealthy fat. The body needs fat just as it needs water to survive but anything taken overly will have a negative effect.

Fat is definitely unhealthy... the human body evolved so that we were supposed to be constantly on the thinner side due to sources of food, etc, back in the day... :arf: This makes sense because usually skinnier (not anorexic skinny, more of a healthy thin) is more attractive and this could be incoded in our instincts in that unhealthy (fat) people are not better mates cause they don't live as long, etc...

I read that in an article somewhere... of course certain medical problems can cause a person to be fat for other reasons that they pig out, their own laziness etc. I think that skinnier would be better than fat.

a little bit of fat is good for you. I'm not talking about overweight.

Especially when you are old. Old people who weigh a bit more have more cusion and break less bones.

I'm very skinny. Always have been. I saw a picture of me when I was 12 (I'm 21 now) and I almost threw up at my skinny-ness.. Now I know why everyone commented on it.

    I wouldn't be fat either.

I just want to be healthy which I am on the road to being..

I'm the kind of guy that has a little bit of fat. And it keeps me warm in winter! But yeah, having too much fat is unhealthy.

Haha, keeps you warm! I guess it helps penguins. And a skinny person would starve to death a lot quicker if a fat and skinny person were stuck on an island! assuming there is fresh water of course.

I am skinny (not annorexic) and I don't think I could ever get fat with my metabolism. I can digest a McDonalds meal and gain less than a pound.

Both are equally revolting... a bit of fat does help I agree, although it should be the healthy kind, not in excess...
