well.. i don't see how you would use a proxy any other way...

unless you used a web based one, like anonymouse.com or http://www.kankan.myftp.biz

Well... I tried changing my proxy for both Firefox (that I'm using) and Internet Options in the Control Panel.. There I changed both the settings in the Dial-Up and LAN connection (not sure which one I'm using in the first place, probably LAN) and set it to use the same proxy server for all protocols on that connection. Automatic configuration is set to automatically detect settings.

Now I'm able to see the proxy address in Expon's signature
    (The one at http://www.neofriends.net/sig.php)
but when I tried testing my proxy in http://whatismyipaddress.com/, it gave me my actual IP adress..
I've already cleared all my private data excluding the saved passwords. Can anyone point out what I might have been doing wrong?
    Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I got it working, I think. C: ...How do you +rep?

Great guide! Unfortunately I don'y know why, but my firefox doesn't have proxy support? I have the latest one. When I go to edit there is definately no preferences. I go to help support I can only get the definition

I was wondering, If I have a proxy set on my Mozilla firefox, and I go onto a side on that proxy at my home and at school (laptop)... Would it appear that my IP and location have never changed?

As long as the proxy isn't changed... the IP address would remain the same

Sigh, are there any reliable proxy sites somebody could suggest? Most of the ones I've tried in this thread and have found on google have been like 97% unsuccessful.

As I mentioned many times... finding reliable proxies that aren't detectable by neopets are rare. Keep looking and you'll stumble upon them
