I made this a while ago, it's just a nice, easy-to-follow forum based guide for the wheel. :)

This is a guide to let you know what your Wheel Of Monotony prize will be as soon as you spin it, and also how long you will have to wait. I'm currently doing research into which times give better prizes.

    The Wheel Of Monotony

    What will I get?

Firstly, if you've just spun the wheel and want to know what you're going to get, you're out of luck. Remember to follow this guide next time!

    1. Go to the Wheel Of Monotony with this link.

You will see something like this:

    2. Click Spin Spin Spin!

You will now see something like this, and here's where it gets interesting.

    3. Look at the top right of the page in the xml text for the line that reads <prize>#</prize> (# will be a number)

Here I got 10 which is the Volcano.

This number will be from 1-16 and corresponds to what prize you will get on the wheel! Below is a list of prizes [Picture on wheel (Prize)]

    1. Mazzew (Mazzew Petpet)
    2. Petpet Brush (Tyrannian Petpet Paint Brush)
    3. Three Berries (Gourmet Food)
    4. Burning Stick (Tyrannian Weapon)
    5. Bag of NP (5,000 NP)
    6. Question Mark (Avatar)
    7. Faerie Pancakes (Increased pet stats)
    8. Red Symbol (Red Codestone)
    9. Green Symbol (Bri Codestone)
    10. Volcano (Magnus the Torch as BD opponent)
    11. Rock (Pet looses half it's hp)
    12. Scroll/Poster (Random toy)
    13. Blank Ticket (Lottery Ticket)
    14. Paintbrush (Tyrannian Paint Brush)
    15. Beast (Pet looses half it's hp)
    16. 5 Bags of NP (20,000 NP)

NOTE: This list is incomplete and is indicative of the picture on the wheel which the spin will land on, not the actual prize which may vary.

A more detailed list of what prizes the wheel gives on the above pictures is available here.

GREAT! So now you know what you're going to get.

How long do I have to wait?

    1. Right next to the text that we used to found out which prize you would get should be <spin_duration>#</spin_duration>

Here I have the number 6958000.

    2. Take the 000 from the number so you're left with 6958. This means 6958 seconds so if we divide that by 60 we get around 116 minutes, a little under 2 hours.

AWESOME! So now you know how long you have to wait.

How do I claim my prize?

This is the MOST IMPORTANT part of this guide, yet the easiest to do.

    1. Make sure this page says done.

You will know this because it will read username=filthypoo&server=done.

Note: if this says username=filthypoo&server=Our records show that the wheel hasn't finished spinning!&timeleft=3918000 then the wheel hasn't stopped spinning yet and you have to wait! This is also a good way to check up on how long there is to go!

    2. Check here to see what it is!

WOOO! Now you have your prize!

The best thing about this method is that you no longer have to keep the window open, in fact there isn't a point leaving it open. You can set the wheel spinning as soon as you log on to Neopets for the day, close it, and collect your prize when you're finished everything else, or set it spinning before you go to sleep at night and collect your prize first thing in the morning! You don't need to leave the window open. Be warned though, you must collect the prize for that day before midnight NST time. Also, if you get an undesirable prize, you don't have to claim it like the other wheels!

And there you have it! Cheers for reading, I'd appreciate and welcome any feedback! And please let me know if you get any prizes that differ from the ones above!

I'm currently researching into what times the wheel is more likely to give each prize index, more soon!

Good guide. Looks like you put a lot of effort into it.
There is no rep system anymore, so you might want to take the +rep one down.

When you spin the wheel, I don't think the time you spin it makes any difference. I have several accounts, and spin them within minutes of each other, and they still end up with different prizes, unless it depends on the second. Which would be a really difficult challenge.

Thanks for that, i've had reports recently of people with family member accounts receiving the same prize index when doing the wheel, but they weren't exactly reliable sources.

I thought the minute spun might have some affect on the outcome, i don't want to get into specific second research.

There are different prizes for certain symbols you land on. For instance, if you get the number 12, which is the scroll symbol, you can win any number of types of prizes. As for the bri codestone instead of the petpet paintbrush, I havent heard of that. If you do land on the petpet paintbrush symbol, it is possible to get the avatar instead, which sucks.

This link is in the guide, but in case you missed it http://www.pinkpt.com/wheelofmonotonyprizes.htm

It's a much more detailed list of what prizes you can get on the different symbols. My guide tells you the symbol, and the most likely prize.

You didn't post this, because I wrote it and it's purrrty :p
You must have posted some other unpurrrty guide with same info :)

Seriously though, the goal of this wasn't any breakthrough, because there are tons of monotony guides, almost every decent site has one or links to one. However, I wrote this as a forum-based guide with the intention of being easy to follow and understand, unlike a lot of other guides I've seen.

I was wondering, if you close your wheel before it finishes spinning, and it finishes spinning while you're on a side account, can you still claim the prize when you go back to the first account?

Yes, you can ;) As long as you click both links in the claiming your prize section! (And, you're within the time-frame limit.)
