Are there any FF fans here? Personally, I think they're one of the best bands out there at the moment and I love many songs they've made, such as Pretender, This is a Call and Let it Die.
They're Ok. Not my favourite band ever Edit - Then again, Iv not heard a lot of their songs (SoC - DO NOT DOUBLE POST)
I know only one few songs x3 "Best of you" for example was very good, but never deepen my knowledge of them... And everytime they make me thinking of Nirvana =(
They used to be quite something, now they're an embarrassment. The first and second albums were brilliant and then it all started to slip. Their newer stuff just makes me cringe. I know people change as they get older, but they really have just turned into 'just another band'. I saw them in 2001 and 2003 and had a great time, but then had the misfortune of seeing them at Leeds Festival in 2005. They headlined and it was so disappointing. Luckily the Pixies, Dinosaur Jr and QOTSA played that weekend too so it wasn't all bad For those wanting to hear a bit more, go for the older stuff. I know it sounds like a cliche, but it really is far better. The albums Foo Fighers and Color and the Shape of are the ones you should be listening to . February Stars is still one of my favourite songs.
Seen yesterday the videoclip of "Pretender"... well, it's really not so good as "The best of you"... but it's always a type of music different from Mtv's standard :maha:
I'm not a big fan of the FooFighters at all. though i must say there new album is pretty good. i was pleasently suprised at some of the songs on it.
They're a good band. Refreshing change from alot of the stuff that's mainstreamish these days. Not personally my favorite genre type, but still a good band
