I'm just opening this new topic 'cause the last one about SSB was closed. Mods delete if making this thread was wrong. Anyways, this is just a free discussion about anything around this upcoming Wii game. I will also be updating everytime something new comes around. I bring you first-hand news, and probably unexpected: Sonic joins the Brawl! I'm neutral about this. I mean, Sonic is cool and I've liked some of his older games (yea 'cause this new Sega crap isn't worth 1€) and it seems to have a useful combat style, but then, it kinda defeats the purpose of the game, since there should only be Nintendo original characters and now we have Snake and Sonic on it. Sonic played an important role in the Nintendo company after Sega almost collapsed. But then again, he isn't an original. Hm. I'm hoping that this time, Sonic will look good in one of the new generation games, since it's being developed by another company (it at least does, watch the sonic presentation movie on smashbros.com) Post.
I loved SSBM, so I'm gonna buy Brawl for sure too I have a Wii We should have some kind of Brawl competition once it comes out..
Yea, for those who have internet on their Wii. We could make a battle contest in the User-Defined section of the forums it'd pwn =P
what system do you play it on? I don't have all the new stuff....the newest system I have is a Nintendo 64
Im considering buying a Wii but im also considering its price. Maybe i wait for a few months and let the price go down a bit first since its still quite new. :lol:
Must work My parents gave me one, so I'm fine anyway I think it's a good price though. If you see the PS3 and stuff like that... I don't know if you need memorycards for that, but that's another good thing on the Wii. The Wii is the memorycard
GameSpot has just put up a live demo of Brawl, it looks so sweet. Go here to watch it: mr. link They show a battle of Link VS. Sonic. Sonic is simply sweet, he's fast and powerful, it can pull out 3+ more hit combos in 2 seconds and his Super Sonic final smash is awesome. If you manage to control Sonic well while it's flying under the final smash effect, and make it go against your opponent, it'll send it flying without needing a great damage inflicted previously. Samus looks pretty cool too. Someone correct me, but in the video it looked like after she unleashed the final smash, she dropped her suit and turned into Zero Suit Samus. Also Link seems to have loads of repeated moves from Melee and it doesn't show his final smash on the demo, so it doesn't seem to have anything special so far. What I found more funny in the demo was the Advance Wars weapon. You grab something on the field and unleash it so that some Advance Wars units come out and if they go against your opponent it'll deal some hard damage. This made me even more eager, and I'll still have to wait 4 months to get this game. Life is unfair x)
Yep, she becomes zero suit samus after that. She doesn't have all the long-range weapons anymore then.
Im planning on buying Wii, but I dont know any good games for it. List some that require you to move alot
Only if this Wii version was the first you of the series that you ever played. The system is getting quite repetitive and annoying, and it still uses loads of games that are decided by luck, not player skill =\. Anyways, there's a new arena presented in SSBB: New Pork City. I'm almost sure it belongs to the Mother 3 game, and well, it's simply huge, there's load of interaction between player & arena, and there's a monster that if you get hit by it, it'll send you flying and you'll be almost sure to lose a life.
I have Mario Party 4 on the Gamecube But I like it so far. And I hate the luck games too. In 23 games, there's not a single one that I've won..
Yay updates. They introduced the throw-the-sandbag-the-farthest-you-can thing today. I've never really liked it but there's something which called my attention, which is the fact that there's a wall around the arena and you can kick your bag's @$$ at free will and then grab the bat and throw it away. Also, the online competition mode seems to be sweet (though I'm not quite sure if it's round-based or another rule since they don't give much description).
Supersmash preview video was soooooooooo sweet. But I don't like the idea of so many new characters ;| I like the new modes they added to the game tho looks to be a masterpiece in progress ;o
OMG this game is going to rock and i cant wait to play it, especially since they added sonic as one of the new guys, sonice pwns all!
