Ok. So has anyone been to see Atonement? If so, what did you think? Is it worth going to see? I know it opened the Venice Film Festival, but that is never something you can rely on... I read the book by Ian McEwan a couple of years ago and really liked it, which is why I'm not sure whether I want to see the film. I hate it when a good book is ruined and I'd rather not pay to go to the cinema just to be put into a bad mood. I've heard that the way the characters are played differs from the way they are portrayed in the book too and wondered what those of you who have seen the film and read the book thought about that (if there are any of you)
