Facebook will be shut down in 20 days...

Anyone who has been on Facebook in the past couple of months will have seen all the groups announcing that "facebook will be shut down in 20 days"

The owner of Facebook is being sued, because he apparently stole the code for the site.

whats your opinion? Do you think Facebook will be shut down if the opposing company wins the lawsuit? Or do you think they'll keep it open?

 

I doubt they'll shut it down. Maybe the company that's suing will just get the rights to it and such.

 

That would suck if it really does happen.

 

You should add "I hope they will" as an option.

I think the maker of Facebook is a complete ass.

If I asked someone to use their skills that I clearly did not have to do something for me, and they didn't do it but used my idea to become rich, then cake yeah, they stole my idea and I should have rights to some, if not ALL profits gained.

Was it smart to do this without a contract? No. But I'm pretty sure this was their FIRST big idea and this was the FIRST time they went through with an idea so knowledge of contracts and blah blah blah isn't common sense. It's common sense to someone who HAS experience but not to people who don't.

Contracts, schmontracts.

The guy took the idea. Simple as that.

 

I don't think it will but the chatting on facebook has got to stop. I mean people have all of their friends on msn, and usually while their friends are ONLINE on MSN, they go on there pages and post... You can just go on msn, double Click their name and chat :|.

The only thing I think facebook is useful for is how you can store pictures and make groups about random stuff. Other than that BLEH.

 

Facebook is also a great way to find people. I've found people on Facebook that I haven't seen for years.
I agree about the MSN thing though, but what if they don't have MSN?

A lot of my net friends are about 7 hours ahead of me, so Facebook comes in handy when I wanna keep in contact with them

 

they will not close facebook such a money making tool. They are just fighting for the rights to make money. The only way facebook will be closed is when it stop making money. :zzz:
