Why do you all care what the author says?

If she feels that it needs to be said she would have written it in the book. The fact that she hasn't means that it does not matter at all.

leave 'em alone, they are entitled to their own opinion. Jeeze if someone's a homophobe then let 'em.

i don't think she should have come out and said Dumbledore is gay. She should just let readers figure it out themselves. Also, saying Dumbledore's gay seems like an easy way out to explain his relationship with Grindelwald. Couldn't it be some other reason?

Sheesh. What does it matter if he's gay or not ? It's a book, c'mon. You've read the story, then you hear that Dumbledore is gay. So what ?

this just gives those ignorant religious people (no, not all religious people are ignorant! just the people who are religious and ignorant) more reasons to have book burnings. well, i guess they have to buy the books to burn them; increase sales and such.
