I beg to differ.. I hope that my child won't be a jerk, in fact--I hope that my child has a pretty likable personality actually...

 

Being gay isn't part of your personality, its who you are.

Gays can be mean, or nice. Jerk, or friendly

Nice and mean are part of personality. Not sexual Preference.

It's not a main part of their personality.. but it is a part of it..

Everything that makes up you is part of your personality..

 

So if i do not have a left arm its my personality? Or if I have a brain disease its a personality thing?

It affects personality, definitely, but there are gay people and straight people without personailty.

 

You basically just compared homosexuality with a disease and a handicapp.

 

Uh...seeing has brain disease and lacking a left arm are things you can have physical proof of..they would very obviously not be personality traits.. you know being handicapped and mental diseases usually aren't ..and by usually i mean..like ..never lol.

 

And homosexuals can't go through an "experimental state" where they belive they're interested in girls?

Indeed. They had loveful relations with their friends and commanders, all this to strengthen the group. And it worked really good too.

the reason parents dont say "i wish my child was a homosexual" is because they know that if they were they would have a much harder life than a straight child; every parent wants the best for their child and straight people just have it easier than homosexuals. only logical that they wouldn't wish that type of hatred on their child.

what about clinical depression? isnt that a "personality trait" that some people have? [...] just had a thought, what if they came up with a "straight pill" like those pills to keep people from being depressed, very scary thought.

 

No, it was a weapon the US Air Force were thinking about producing, and it was basicly meant to turn the enemies homosexual, so that they would stop fighting and.. start doing the wild monkey dance, since the soldiers would find each other irresistable.

I think i heard about it before and thought it was stupid.

 

In a strange kind of way, I find that a little bit offensive... I mean, no.1, how would they manufacture something that would turn everyone into a homosexual, and no.2, why would they find everyone irresistable? It just makes no sense... Just because you're gay doesn't mean you want to sleep with everyone of the same sex... There are lots of girls that I don't want to sleep with...

The scientists then realized that there were no known compounds which would produce this effect, so they just stopped working on the idea.

Would never happen, being gay isn't a disease...clinical depression is caused by a chemical inbalance in your brain..which can be fixed by pills. Being gay is completely different.
And referring to the other comment, I don't want a gay child...because I don't want a gay child, I don't approve of homosexuality.. having absolutely nothing to do with how hard life would be for them.

 

I have nothing against homosexuality. I have plenty of homosexual friends. I'm for legalizing gay marriage. As far as the nature/nurture thing i think it can be either/or for people. I know people who have been gay forever and I know ppl who have only been gay/bisexual since puberty.

 

Actually ... I'm not against nor for homosexuality , i think that if tho people love each other , then they can live with each other regardless of their sex ... they can have sex if they want idc ... but what makes me hesitate is when i see 2 guys kissing in front of me ... or acting gay lol you know ... i got a homosexual friend and i don't care cuz he's normal ... but those who are ... should i put that shirt ... i think it doesn'T go with my hair ... no way lol

 

I think some people are complete ignorant and hypocritical if they don't approve of gay people (or gay men), yet, get turned on and stuff when two "lesbians" start kissing.. I mean, seriously, grow up.
