Monthly Charge

    Is there a monthly charge for this like there is for wow?
    I didnt really get into wow because I was afraid the monthly charges would add up to be way more than what i'd like to spend on a game...

    When did what start? I havn't played the game at all - I'm asking if there is a charge per month to play like there is for world of warcraft...

    no there is no monthly charge.... that is the same reason i stay away from wow...

    there's a monthly charge just like WoW, if i remember correctly its $14 for the first character (user ID or w/e they call it) and then $1 for every other one you make; (i made ~ 4 characters so eh)

    the extra storage space from a mule makes up for the $1 charge but the $14 a month may be a lot for some

    i know i hate that new monthly charge! so i just didnt buy it! who wants to pay monthly for final fantasy XI? i dont.

    ya there is a chrage on final fantasy XI i think it is. i didnt buy the game because of that.

    You may be right that no one WANTS to pay monthly fees, but people do anyway. Not just for Final Fantasy XI, but for World of Warcraft and other MMOs as well. For some people the enjoyment that comes from playing the game makes up for a slightly lighter wallet.
