Couldn't find a topic anywhere so thought i'd start it. What are peoples thoughts on the recent spy scandals and on Hamilton having to throw the championship away? Im actually a Fisichella (4 Years) and BMW-Sauber (9 Years) Fan myself.
he should be banned from the sport forever... use him as an example to others.... then it wont happen anymore...
What ban Hamilton? He would only have thrown under the agreement of the spying scandal. McLaren have to lose both championships to race in 08. So it was Burnie and co. who told him to.
true.... well someone should be punishes severely... a small fine means nothing... so maybe McLaren should be banned for 2 year and Burnie and co should be fired.. it will teach others not to mess around...
Burnie is the person who fires and $100 millions isn't a small fine! they get 1st place prize money knocked off and its still 50+ million. certainly something should be done as Hamilton would be world champion had it not been for the whole thing.
$100 million is nothing for people like that.... that to him is like $1000 to us... imagine how much billions he has made over the years??
Its not Ron that makes the money, it is a hefty fine considering 500m goes on car development. take out 100k they will be out of the top 3 and therefore struggle to keep again. Most of the teams operate at a lose but it keeps the sales of there cars/products up and they then invest more.
well what do you think should happen then?? coz i still dont think the punishment they got was enough....
the punishment was with no real evidence. the only used data was the moving floors and that was to stop ferrari cheating! but Renault on the other hand, they should be stripped of points and be given the fine as well as they have 4 dvds of mclaren data
It is a big punishment, but Ferrari have been putting new parts on their car that are illegal and get away with it for years, the stolen data only stopped ferrari cheating. Both Teams sacked the guilty employees instantly as well.
