Well, because of my financial situation, i'm currently not in the game. But, here are some suggestions: Start the game as a tarutaru. Not only are they cute, but they pack a whollop. Start leveling your WAR (warrior) first, because you'll get more invites, plus it will be very useful. When you hit 18 and get access to your subjob, level MNK/WAR. When you get to 15MNK, take WAR back up and get it to 30. Now you can use /war for PLD, THF, BLU... or, if you want to go the mage route, start as WHM, then RDM/WHM, etc. Either way, if you come across "What do I do now?" just PM me.
Try leveling up with mobs.. together with lots of quest... XD. PS : i did not play official.. i play Private server good exp.
I have a few 70s on retail WoW. Well had, sold them for a good bit of cash. I still have my first character, who is only 66 right now. I own a Private Server, so I use that to pick up on my leveling strategies.
