Hey everyone my xbox broke recently and im too tight fisted to buy a new console so i decided to dig out and old school one, could find my sega anywhere so i've hooked up my old playstation 1, had quite a chuckle running around as spyro the dragon and crash bandicoot again. anyone got any suggestions on what old ps1 games i should hunt down and play? or just wanna discuss the old retro consoles and games and memories of em?

i was really hoping i'd find my mega drive i really wanted to go back on the original sonic and mortal combat games haha. i might buy an old nintendo aswell like the n 64 so i can go on some old school mario games, does anyone remeber that bam kazooi or whatever it was called where you were a bear who had a red bird in his backpack and you could swap between them that was awesome.

Hmmm...I'm playing FFIX on the ol' psx, I reckon you can't go wrong with any of the FF series on that console. As for NES, SNES and N64, these days it's just easier to download them from the net. It's much more convenient, and you can save at any point in the game. I'd suggest Project64 emulator. Revisiting the two Zelda games brought back a lot of memories.
They have some pretty good GBA games out there too. Currently I'm playing Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town.
But there are a lot of games out there, and easily downloaded. I use Visual Boy Advance for that.
And lately there have been some Nintendo DS emulators out there. They aren't fully up to scratch for every game out there, but no$gba has been recommended to me, which I've been told runs smoother for some games than the actual DS does.

I played Mario Cart on N64 today. Just make sure you had a few shots first and it'll be awesome.
If you're sober, just play Bond. :)

Ah... the SNES. the First of the oldschool consoles I ever played. FFVI was great, although it's also known as FFIII. I also remember the old Star Wars games being not too bad. A big one on the list, however, is also Super Mario RPG. That one was timeless as well.
