Heh, botting and maphack is less common now since accounts and CDkeys that use Stings Maphack or the D2JSP bot are automatically banned.
What!! Sting's users get banned now? That's the one I used. D: Dannngggg... That made MFing and running so eeeaasy. When did that happen?
Aww, wow. That's right after I stopped playing I think... Or maybe I still played, but not as much, and pretty much all I did was MF at the time. Weird. That sucks, dude. D:

D2 one of the most addicting games ever for me....i tried selling my cd's and deleting it off my comp...but a year later i ended up getting the itch to play so bad i rebought the cds from the store for twice as much i sold mine for currently play Hardcore us east ladder and have 3 godly chars over lvl 95, then it just gets boring to lvl.
I play East Classic Ladder (Non-Expack), since LoD runewords ruined it for me. Classic the trading is harder, Lvling Harder, not many if any lvl 99, thoe you get close its just to tough with only Diablo to get Xp off of. Just a better experience for my hardcore D2 Taste. ~Dirt
I've told many of my D2 experience, and I think I'll tell my tale again, or at least a revised version. I had been playing D2 for four years (I stopped beginning of 07'), botting had taken over D2 and I would bot as many as 3 accounts a night with D2jsp. D2 got incredibly boring with the introduction of Uber Tristram and the Uber boss's, leveling from 1-90 could be done within a day. Anyways, the botting ended for me when Blizzard decided to do a massive ban wave from people using D2jsp, after that I moved to mm.bot. mm.bot was great, but after awhile I got tired of D2 all together. One day my buddy told me he was going to open up a D2 store, I got into questioning him about stock and stuff and he introduced me to duping. Oh boy! Finally some fun! After spending months of duping, I had 11+ accounts of unperms which I later sold to him for $2xx. After that, D2 just went down the drain in terms of excitement. There was duping going on everywhere, I couldn't profit from the game any longer so I decided to quit. Now it's WoW and CS for this gamer. I've been through and seen it all in D2, that game is dead to me now. I go on every so often to make sure my account and original copies of my duped unperms are still around =). I have to say though, it was fun while it lasted
I played that game for a long time when I was younger. I enjoyed it for a year or two, then got into major hacking with a friend. I remember it as a fantastic game though All of those games are right up my alley.
about 4-5 years ago, this game was my crack addiction before i moved on to other things. i used to do meph, pindle, and baal hell runs for 5-6 hours everyday in hopes of getting some drops. lol, oh man.. and the rest of my hours were spent hell cow'ing to hell and killing their kings to grief people (just kidding, but people did it all the time anyway!). this was before they nerfed it to hell and was actually good exp to 99 off of! i had a 99 bowazon (hell yea back when pierce & guided arrow combo was infinite!), 99 orb sorc, 99 lightning/fire sorc, and 90+ trap sin, necro and elemental druid. ..oh, the memories. =) i've tried to play again recently but my account keeps expiring due to the 3 months clause! oops! guess my time on that game has just passed. but it was fun while it lasted.
