I don't know if some (or all) abers already do this, but wouldn't it be a good idea to make them intentionally fail once in a while? You know, a mishaggle or something. It could be made so that the program only fails on some of the crappy items and never fails on the best ones.

Just a suggestion to maybe make them seem more human-like. (unless they already do this)

Yea, mine took 6 seconds to try and buy a Yellow Chomby MP but it missed so sometimes it will.

Heh, I guess the programmer's have thought of most things already. :p

I have another question about abers, although I'm fine if those who program them don't want to answer it because maybe they want to keep the info private or something.

Is there a simple explanation for how you do the picture clicking?

Most of the processes that the aber does don't seem particularly hard to program - Refreshing semi-randomly, determining what items to buy, clicking on the item, haggling, but from a [novice] programmer's perspective, I can't figure out how one would do the picture recognition or whatever.

I think the program seeks out the darkest pixel but I am not sure. To your first question most AB'ers do miss items, not on purpose, but just because they didn't catch the restock quick enough.

i ab sometimes on a pretty fast cable connection and still miss items quite a bit, so most abers do miss sometimes unintentionally.

    as for your second question

i think the aber searches for the darkest spot on the haggle picture which most of the time is the eyes of the neopet, or the black outline of the neopet in the picture. i dont remember if neopets still have black outlines in the picture i havent restocked in ages
