This was just a little project I was thinking about, tell me what you think. Intended Language: JavaScript Recommended Apps: ABP, in particular SoC's version. The idea is mainly that this firefox extension speeds up the process of manual, legit Restocking. As you all know, the current legit process of Restocking entails you refreshing in a shop waiting for a rare item to restock, once it does you click the item image, enter in your haggle price, click the neopet sprite and then pray you got the item in time. So what I was intending for this script to do, is simply act as an autocomplete script. The process of buying is still manually orientated, the only difference is that when it comes to haggling the script already automatically haggles a price of say, 98% shop price. The user is still required to click the items image in the first place to enter the haggle screen and also to click the neopets sprite to complete the purchase, the script simply puts in the price. The reason I think this would really work out great is because in my (very limited) experience of legit Restocking, I've found that entering in a haggle price for the item takes the longest time in the buying process. Thus, by eliminating the need to you to move your mouse to the price area, enter the price, and then move the mouse over to the neopets sprite you have saved a great deal of time and dramatically increased your chances of getting the item. And because of the fact that you are still required to refresh in the shop, click the item to start the purchase procedure AND click the neopet sprite to complete the purchase there is NO chance of being iced or even detected. SOOOO... Who here feels up to writing this little script? or who wants to poke holes in my idea? GoGoGo!!
Not hard at all, but it wouldn't allow you to browse any other site or it would miss the item (you wouldn't be able to click the pet because you wouldn't have known)
I doubt it, i know ALOT of Rsers that use adblock, none of them have been frozen for it I dont think tnt can detect Web-based plugins.
I programmed something similiar to this with a macro I found on google, but it's lousily coded and there's a lot of random bugs that I don't quite understand that cause me to have to adjust it a lot. You can probably do it yourself with a macro, but it won't make you a 1337 rser since you'll still have to catch items at the right time and (at least in my case) there's a lot of minor problems that screw it up a lot. If haggling's your biggest concern, you might want to just practice... It's really not that hard to get down.
I believe I already have this as a greasemonkey script. The only thing you want is for it to put in the price? Mine puts in the price as example. They ask for 257 NP it has a 50% chance to buy it for 252 or 255. If they ask for 1325, 40% @ 1333, 40% @1313, 20% @ 1322. Of course the percentages can be changed as well as the patterns for the amount to pay.
Remember that the only thing it does is autofill the price you want to pay on the haggle page. There is a line in the script so that if your screen size is small it will scroll down to the captcha image but in any case you still have to click the neopet in the image. To install you should be able to save it to your desktop then drag it onto a firefox window. Hope it helps.
EDIT: nevermind, i just realised you had already said it was a greasemoneky script. I installed greasemonkey and it installed It works perfectly!!
Indeed, I just trialled this and it works perfectly. Viewed the source and there isn't anything malicious in there. Recommend using this in combination with SoC's adblock list. Almost guaranteed to get ANYTHING you go for.
So what do I have to do to get this to work, I dont understand what a greasmonkey script is. This sounds like a really good idea! I dragged the file into firefox but it just pops up with Script typed out. edit- Nevermind i figured it out Im off to see if it helps me at all, Thank you
