Alright. So I saw this movie last week and pretty much laughed at the plot. I have to say....the gore/screwed up effect was pretty nice though. Some of it was just plain nasty. But...I dunno....what were y'alls opinions?
Isn't that the movie where everyone kills themselves? Lol somthing about plants releasing some neurotoxin that makes people kill themselves... lol that's one lame plot. As much as I like Mark Wahlberg, it sounds like a lame movie.
well see for yourself its just our opinion and its not that scary coz of the lame plot of the story its like you know whats gonna happen
i like the director, m night shamalaunt? something like that. but i only like him because the first time i saw the village i didn't know anything about it and missed all the foreshadowing because i was doing other stuff, so i liked the concept
I HATED the Village. It was the worst movie I have seen in a long time. *puke* :nope: As far as the Happening goes, the plot isnt entirely unbelievable, I think I read somewhere that some coral reefs give off a neurotoxin that make fish want to kill themselves.... Not sure what would cause plants to all of a sudden release this toxin, but Im sure they explain it in the movie. I know I would want to go watch people kill themselves for an hour and a half though, so this is a movie I probably wont be seeing.
I always say everyone who hates the village are those that are blind to the horribleness that people go through in everyday life. As for the happening....there actually IS a mass disappearance of honey bees in the world at this very moment....and that quote on the chalkboard from Einstein IS real..... "If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe, then man would only have four years of life left" Not entirely sure WHY he thought that, but.... And yes, plants actually are logically and reasonably able to do what is shown in the movie, and all the facts they quote are indeed real. So it's actually not that farfetched.... However....the ending was just plain blah. It was intensely cliche (everything happening again, humans ignoring the warning, yadda yadda)
Yeah its pretty unbeleivable a plant killing people.....to ME that is pretty stupid....the one part that was random and funnyish....with that one teenager and the house that is locked.....enough said to the people who watched the movie....
eh i kinda think the happening was one of the better movies by him. it was cool the ways people would kill themselves but the idea of the plants wasnt all that great. But i really didnt like the village. The first trailer i saw for it looked interesting but once i saw the movie i wish i didnt pay for it XD
agreed... I was so disappointed by it ;-; the next movie is going to have to be amazing to make up for it
well i guess i will skip this one then... if everyone gave it such bad reviews... i wont have to spend the money...
the plot/story line was a bit cheesy, but other than that i like the graphics of the blood i saw in the movie.
