What did you think of the '08 VMAs? My opinions: Host - terrible Performances - horrible Awards - bad Overall - pretty damn bad and one other thing (IMO ): Jonas Brothers are quite possibly the worst band to ever exist. How has MTV sunk so low as to make them a focal point?
I never watch VMA's... but I have a feeling that you may be 100% right. Also, I kinda hate Disney for creating so many music stars... Or at least making them big. But the Jonas Brothers aren't the worst... I think the worst would have to be the Naked Brothers Band. I mean, really... who wants to listen to a band which is made up of kids under 10?
yeah the naked brothers band is pretty bad but I honestly don't even consider them a real band, just a tv show. The J Bros (yeah i made that up right now, pretty cool i know ) however get to play real concerts and record albums. They probably don't even right their own songs. And they serenade each other in a way thats not quite right, like the backstreet boys or nsync, except that theyre BROTHERS which makes it even weirder.
I think the host was amazing. Although, Rhianna's weave was way to long and those boots made her hips look huge.
I have to agree about the Jonas Brothers being possibly the worst band ever. I'm sick of all the Disney stars trying to make it big. Miley Cyrus makes me want to puke. Anyways, I thought the VMAs weren't too horrible, but then again I wasn't expecting a whole lot =)
its basically the same recycled crap year after year but in new sparkling wrapping paper. I just really hope Disney doesn't pull us into a new boy band era. The last one almost killed normal music. Now the Jona's brothers are going to kill rock'n roll.
VMA's always suck, this year was no difference. I expected more out of the performances tho. Pink was the only good one and Im not a huge fan of hers..
Yeah I'd have to agree that Pink was the best, but I thought all the performances were pretty lackluster.
I thought it was awful. i did like rihana' , pink and christina augilara's performances. the rest suck.. i thought that it was funny Britney won those awards for a video she herself admitted was bad. out of all of her video that finally won her award. That was so obviously rigged.
Yeah but Britney Spears looked pretty damn good in that dress. She's more popular than she was a few years ago because of her amazing comeback.
Uhm... where is this "comeback" that you speak of? If "combeback" means "breakdown" then yes, she IS more popular because of it.
lol yeah what "comeback"? she just keeps making more and more trashy songs where she repeats the same words over and over again and dances like a "woman of the night"
