What are your opinions on Fast Food? A fun word everyone loves to hear; obese. Do you think fast food is to blame for fattening people, or are they to blame themselves for having no control? In my opinion, Fast Food is a nice way to go out once in a while and not have to do anything. But I also think many people abuse this to eat it all the time and then blame Fast Food restaurants for doing it to them. Opinions?
I usually have it once a week, just depends on how busy I am...also tastes good(like nothing I could make at home). Not too mention it's cheap too with all the dollar and value menu things.
I used to live aross the stree tform a Wendy's and Burger King. Went there almost every night and slowly gained 25 lbs in a year. Got really disgusted with myself and insisted to my husband that we move. Now the closest place is a 5 miles - not so easy to get to. Still go maybe once a week but Ive found that I really enjoy cooking
If you keep your body in good shape, and exercise regularly then eating fast food once in while is fine. If you do that then it an easy meal. If you don't due that then it can turn into a recipe for disaster as you put it. That's my outlook on this. ~Parisdirt
Fast food isn't the healthiest thing but it's never bothered me. Because my metabolism basically let me take in anything with as much amount of oil and grease {Not in a disgusting way} and not get fat. Although it doesn't protect my health that is. But I mean, if you are at school or have a lunch break, what are the chances you're NOT getting fast food except from the cafeteria? Like you can't really sit down at a restaurant and wait to be seated, order, wait for food, wait to pay, etc. But i'd say about twice or thrice a week for me. Because it's turning into something money consuming not to mention i'm watching my health. It's funny how when we're little we beg our parents to take us to McDonald's, but now that we have a choice, we would half the time not choose to go there.
I eat it two or three times in a week. You can get healthy fast food - or at least something not as unhealthy as McDonalds. I don't really like McD and i usually order salads when I'm there, their burger just gross me out. But I can take a cheeseburger on my way home from a club (but okay, I can eat almost anything at that time xD) Anyways, people that overeat fastfood can't blame anyone but themselves. NO ONE forces them to eat the food, they do it themself. That's why I thin it's ridicoulus when people start blaming McDonalds and restaurants for making them obese D:
Some fast food really isnt that bad for you,it depends on how you order: Stay away from side items and just get like grilled chicken sandwich,no mayo or cheese... also always drink water with fast food...thats not to bad
Any doctor will tell you, fast food is fine, in moderation. If people are stupid enough to eat it like everyday you deserve to get fat. Personally, I only have it like 2 or 3 times a month and then it's only McDonalds. I refuse to eat KFC on a moral ground as they torture their chickens.
I eat fast food only few times a year, I think. I remember eating a cheeseburger in June. Could have lived without. If you absolutely HAVE TO eat out than when why not walk an extra block and find yourself a nice restaurant or a coffee shop. The food tastes equally good (probably better) and the selection is often a lot healthier.
I try not to eat fast food but when im on the road or in a rush, it just cant be helped sometimes. This thread reminds me of the move "Supersize Me" or whatever
well like any food its alright in moderation. You can gain weight really fast i know this because i was a guinea pig for an experiment in one of my science classes in college. Im not sure what the goal of this experiment was but i gained 10 pounds in two weeks eating Mcdonalds twice a day. I love their food but after those two weeks i decided not to visit very many fast food chains for awhile. I only eat fast food on roadtrips and things like that its just for convenience.
Someone should make healthy fast food, so that we can have the convenience of fast food without the burden of it. I know Subway is healthy, but ironically, it's the only fast food place that doesn't have a drive through (at least where I live).
Well its true that there are addictives in the fast food, but I think it's got alot to do with the mindsets of people. If anyone has watched "Supersize Me" they would know that basically its got alot to do with the advertising and the way the staffs praise the words (for upsizing a meal). What we should do is to be more aware of being influenced by media.
