I just started playing Fable 2 for the 360 and want to know the benefits of getting your blacksmithing skill up early?

Blacksmithing is just a job I did it so I could make money early and buy properties later on. Once you have enough to buy properties that make you money (Every 5 minutes) the Blacksmithing (and any other jobs) aren't really worth doing. Also I leveled mine all the way up to 5 stars and I got an achievement. But it's purely for money making when you start out.. I've bought nearly every property in Fable 2 and I make about 16,000 every 5 minutes.

So then I should do every job for acheivement and money? Or are there some I don't need to worry about?

It may only take 6 hours but who plays a game for 6 hours straight?
That is about a week of playing for me and plus, once you finish there are so many other things you can do on it.
I think to enjoy this game you really have to like RPGs.

You only need to level 1 job to 5 for the achievement.. It's short but you can start a new character and go evil(if you went good the first time) and vice versa...

Blacksmithing is not really all that great, however doing a lot at the begging can be good because then you can buy a shop and start getting profit for nothing each day! I recommend that you do bar tending tho it's the easiest way to make money if your making money from the jobs that is... Other then that try to save up and buy a lot of shops and put the costs up a lot and you will get rich fast.

No, but you can gain popularity easily by maxing it out in that town, you can also cheat your way to the top with the time cheat XD

Fable 2 has really bad replay value.. I beat it rather quick and got bored with it.. I mean it was fun while I was playing through the first story but it was blah after I beat it once :p Not worth buying really..Renting yeah but it was a waste of 60 bucks lol

I looooved this game, the interaction between online players could have been better. Once I finished the game and wanted to get all the achievements for it I wasn't able to because there were too MANY glitches. For example I can't get the gargoyle achie, because I can't open the door to the Temple of Shadows. It makes me sad because I wanted to get 1000/1000 for that game.

And you should just stick to one job if your just looking to getting the achievement for the Level 5 job accomplishment.
Once you get some money go buy property right away. Ive made crazy loads of cash with that!

Another thing is that "money" becomes really useless in the game because I had so much it wasn't worth anything. I would randomly end up giving some away in Bowerstone Market. I really love how the game finished but you could still unlock things, this is why I like RPGs/MMOs

Im thinking that if any one needs to get the Hero Dolls achievement I have all 6. So PM me and we could probably do that one on live :)

Here's a tip for all you trying to make lots of money.

Go to bowerstone, or Oakvale where you own the blacksmithing shop, buy ALL the weapons you can ( do it on a sale day for 50-75% so you only pay about 25% of the value) Then travel to Fairfax gardens and sell everything at 100% its price and make about 2-3 times what you paid per weapon.

I ended up having 700,000 gold, 12k per 5 minutes, own 2/3 mansions, and I did NOT choose money at the endgame scene.
