Anyone here who watched the newest Saw (V) yet? I'm going to go see it this Friday :)

What are your opinions on the film series? (and why did you keep on watching them even though the quality dropped after the first one?)
You can also suggest and recommend similar movies if you know any.

I personally love the first movie to bits. I had fun scaring the crap out of myself by watching Ring and Grudge (even tho the latter was more hilarious than spooky). But Saw was actually entertaining to watch, instead of giving me a life-long trauma or a ridiculous phobia.
The traps were fascinating as were the characters, and even though Jigsaw is completely nuts he sure gives unforgettable life lessons... I also liked the overall plot and the twist at the end.

Saw II was meh. The plot was a rip-off of The Cube (an another horror movie you shouldn't watch alone.. late at night... in the dark.. at the age of 12...) This movie made me listen to Mudvayne back then.

Saw III and IV are only a messy mush of death and weird traps in my memory since I've seen both only once. I remember hating the 'plot' in IV. I hated the slimy-looking new bad guy, I hated the lame traps and I couldn't care less about Jigsaw's happy tiems with his ex-girlfriend.

Even though the movies are stupid it doesn't stop me from watching them :p After all I'm a gore junkie.

I can't handle gore as much as I used to be able to. I watched Final Destination and I scrunch up my face or sometimes look away. I can't really stand it X_x

I watched Saw I only because my cousin wanted to rent it. I probably won't mind watching with someone else when i'm staying over at my boyfriend's for the weekend as always, but we usually watch action movies. Compared to Saw, final destination is NOTHING as gory.

Apparently 5 is the final movie of the Saw series is it?

Stuff like this on big screen will make me puke, I swear. I will never watch them on big screen :( *Finds a happy place*

At least the adverts make it seem like it's the last one. There are lines like 'In the end all the pieces will fit together' etc.

I've watched Saw IV on big screen and it wasn't that bad at all. Only the scary parts were worse and made me jump on my seat  But the gory parts were the same.
I remember reading somewhere that in the Saw III premiere several people puked and/or fainted :p You know that trap where a man has chains attached to his body and he has to rip them all off? ..No wonder.

Well I think I saw bits and pieces of 2 or 3? I don't know which one it was from. When that woman had that trap around her mouth that snaps her jaw if she doesn't get out in time and she needs to dig a key out of some guy's guts, while he was watching himself cuz he was drugged to feel no pain AT THAT MOMENT {imagine the pain afterwards...if he's not dead by then}. She was like crying all the way through, and she did survive, I remember :yup:

I actually find the advert clever seeing as how Jigsaw is a form of puzzle, and puzzle has pieces :p

I enjoyed the first 2 of the series. Didn't like the 3rd. Didn't see the 4th. May see the rest.

    That'd be Saw I :)
I love that part, even though Amanda became a backstabbing b*tch afterwards.

I occassionally like scary movies, but having too much gore in it just makes it less scary for some reason..

I guess I was to wrapped up by all the tricks and stuff that movie pulls to notice the lowering quality. I like movies where people have to make split decisions or life or death ones. These movies are awesome and I plan on seeing the 5th one. That old man can't live for long lol. Although they said in 4 that it was the last one.

I saw Saw V (lol XD) last night. I've watched them all. I like them because they have an amazing plot that you don't figure out throughout the movies. Number five was amazing, I loved how it ended and the tests they were put on. I didn't like all the flashbacks though, I thought there was too many. But it amazed me that they can still have an interesting movie even after 4 others. And I heard there were going to be a number six too? I'm already looking forward to seeing it XD

This one had too many flashbacks and the traps seemed like nothing I hadn't seen before.
It was alright though, this was the first one my friend had seen so it was funny to watch him squirm :D.
