Arg..yaeh...is anyone else not really liking the story? First of all, in a very asian movie, there's a white protagonist. I am NOT being racist, but it didn't really fit. And erm the movie was overall predictable...although the Monkey King, I didn't recognize was Jet Li at first, I sorta knew the Monk was one of his monkey hair. So yeah..I guessed the whole movie through.. The fight? It wasn't the BEST i've seen of Jacky Chan and Jet Li and together, I thought it'd be way better x_x There's a really weird plot, the "fake" Jade Emperor and his army looks like gay guys with make up It wasn't a good movie...the plot was...trippy. But I like the effects, as always :lol: It was interesting watching the movie too, I love the Chinese History / Myth implemented in it and I understood the myth and stuff since i'm Chinese and i've heard all about it xD
I watched it when it first came out. I thought it was going to be a lot better then it was since it had jet li and jackie chan. It couldve been a lot better but it wasnt an awful film either. I kinda had a feeling early on about jackies chan character not being immortal though.
I used to pretend to be Jackie when I was little... Anyways, strange plot, but Jackie and Jet were sweet!
i expected sumthing better out of it.. bud i guess sumtimes putting 2 big stars together in a show doesnt equate to a good plot and good show. but i thot the Sparrow girl is realli pretty
I didn't think this movie was going to be great as I expected it to be. When I first saw the trailer, I was very excited >.> Turned out to be not as great movie, the plot was kinda bleh. I agree, having a white guy as the main character protagonist was kind of bleh, not to be racist but I think an asian with all other asians in the movie would have been better. The white hair girl, I thought, was pretty.
