i have a bit of free time during my weekends, and i like to spend it watching a movie every week, but i am unsure on what to watch. Are there any movie suggestions out there?
Well I have an odd taste in movies but I have a ton of favorites. If you haven't seem them you should go rent them. The Dark Knight Across the Universe Any of the Harry Potter movies Matilda James and the Giant Peach Corpse Bride Those are just a few. If you haven't seen them go see them noooow!
I second James & The Giant Peach. I loved it. You can watch Rush Hour again. They're hilarious xD Ratatouille if you haven't yet. It's a really cute movie. Hmm..it'd help if you tell us what you like though.
watch the whole star wars series then the Indiana Jones movies... you will be hearing lucasfilm music for a week after lol.
My Cross-genre favourites are: Fast times at Ridgemont High (80s teen movie. Hilarious. Stars Sean Penn as a stoner) Dazed and Confused (90s teen movie, set in the 70s) Closer (Sex/relationship drama) Cruel Intentions (Same as above) Boondock Saints (Simply Brilliant.) Not Another Teen Movie (First see the movies it's parodying. It's my personal opinion that it's the best parody movie ever made) Remeber the titans (Because of course, no list is ever complete without a sports movie). Saw (And the sequels if you want). Fight Club (You do not talk about fight club.) Blow (Great Biopic) Catch me if you can (Another great Biopic).
I'm a comedy fan myself and I suggest: Tropic Thunder Blades of Glory Dan in Real Life Smiley Face **& the best** Fido - a movie about a pet zombie, not really scary at all
I would recommend watching Forbidden Zone directed by Richard Elfman. It is a hilarious film that will make you go bald (from scratching your head profusely throughout the entire movie).
Speaking of christmas--watch the holiday specials like Santa Claus is Coming to Town, The Year Without a Santa Claus (those Miser bros. are silly), etc. The Polar Express is pretty good as well.
Ooo four christmases is nice? that's great cos im catching it nxt wk w sum frens hee wells lately there's this movie called BOLT, the super cute dog... i havent caught it yet.. bud it seems nice . wells if ur interested in looking at history-related movies.. then i would recommend Hotel Rwanda and the Pianist. both shows go a looong way back bud they are still my favourites
I want to see that movie thats comming , with Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson Marley & Me. It looks great, I love her, and he is funny.
4 christmases was pretty funny i could watch million dollar baby a lot, but that's just me also love edward scissorhands, and wall-e
We'd make great movie buddies, as long as you picked. I love all of those. I also recommend (Just ignore the comments in brackets if it's too long to read the whole thing.): Bon Cop, Bad Cop (Canadian, partially in French, but you can subtitle it either way) Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail (Hi-freaking-larious. You'll have to watch it at least four times to understand how truly funny it is. But I do not suggest watching it any more than four times, unless you have trained yourself not to memorize entire scenes and then act them out.) Chronicles of Riddick/Pitch Black (Sci-fi flicks with Vin Diesel as the main character. But if you can get past that/enjoy it, they're very good) The Longest Yard (The newer one's better. Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, prison, football...) Gattaca (Sci-fi drama with Ethan Hawke and Jude Law. Simply amazing.) Sweeney Todd (It's a musical, but it's been my favorite musical since I was nine, and the movie has Johnny Depp in it... it's a bit graphic, though.) Silence of the Lambs/Hannibal (The books are better, but Anthony Hopkins doesn't do a half-bad job. They're ... thrillers? Maybe...) The Brave Little Toaster (DO IT) Fast & the Furious (I like Vin Diesel, what can I say? Basically, Paul Walker being awesome and some very sexy cars.) Queen of the Damned (Vampires, awesome soundtrack, based on Anne Rice. And Stuart Townsend. pwoar.) Educating Rita (A comedy about slightly crazy English teacher and his student, Susan, who calls herself Rita...It's très philosophical) Billy Elliot (A boy in a small mining town just wants to dance...provocative and well-mapped, though slightly cliché.) That's all that I can think of at the mo. Good Luck!
I would recommend reading Animal Farm which was written by George Orwell (Eric Blair) and was published in 1945 (due to the power of Stalin's reign). Then I say you watch the movie (1:28:36) and say what you think. I am willing to bet you that you will think that it is an amazing story. Everything that happens in that book is allegory for what happened during the Russian Revolution. So just remember that whatever you read in that book or see in that movie, may not have happened the same way, but still did happen (humans not animals).
