Its one thing to say what your favourite song is however its another to have a favourite album. It might be your favourite because it inspires, enchants, reaches a personal chord with you or you felt it symbolised and captured a turning point in society. Regardless, lets see what your favourite albums are. My top 3 would be: London Calling - The Clash. Stranger Then Fiction - Bad Religion. Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd (yes its a cliche but it has to make my list) Probably could of just listed 3 albums by The Beatles but thats no fun

My top 3 albums: Californication - RHCP Fight With Tools - Flobots Meteora - Linkin Park Good music is what attracts me to most bands, but in the case of Californication and Fight With Tools, I also really like the lyrics because they have enormous meaning behind them.

I wish that mixed tapes counted as albums, because then I could rock all of your worlds with my awesome musical taste. hehe EDIT: You're Awful, I Love You - Ludo : It's kind of quirky, definitely aesthetically appealing. It's really multi-layered: humorously dark, undeniably cheesy, nerdy and awesome. Billy Talent - Billy Talent : Decent rhythm, good messages, one of the only good things to come out of Canada aside from poutine and Moosehead. Take To The Skies - Enter Shikari : This album is love. Trancey dancey love in the form of music. Solid vocals, very...different. Platypus - Flobots : It's quick, it speaks to you, it's delectable and very progressive - both in style and the messages behind the lyrics. Trumpet+violin=hip hop? Bo Fo Sho - Bo Burnham : This is the only man in the world that I would ever marry. LISTEN TO HIS MUSIC. <3 Punk Goes Crunk : Punkish type bands (or ones that loosely fit in that category like All Time Low, The Devil Wears Prada and Say Anything) take gangstaish songs and make them better. Visions of Ghandi - Jedi Mind Tricks : One of the best rap albums out there, hands down. Original back beats, easy to follow lyrics...and most of it actually (oh, the horror) makes sense! (sometimes) Buiiki Kaesu - Maximum the Hormone : Sweet Japanese metal. And the music videos make me chuckle. You'll Rebel To Anything - Mindless Self Indulgence : This requires a particular taste (or lack thereof, maybe), but it's worth it. Very interesting, to say the least. Kind of a little scary. Apocalypshit - Molotov : Spanish rap. This band is from Mexico and talks about opression and living there and such. With catchy guitarness. Is A Real Boy - Say Anything : Mmmmmm. That's all. A bit angsty, but if you can deal, you'll lahve it. Tenacious D - Tenacious D : I don't even need to elaborate on this. Jack Black. WIN The August Rush Soundtrack : Please don't ask me why, I just like it. I realilse that that seems like a lot, but those are the only albums that I have more than half of. I have a lot of music...like, over ten thousand songs...but it's all varied.
The Ataris - So Long Astoria: Amazing album. Leaves me speechless whenever I listen to it. I can't listen to it any more, it was what was playing when I tore my ACL and started up this two-year long string of knee problems. I'm pretty bitter, huh? The Weakerthans - Reconstruction Site: I've heard several people cite it as one of the best Canadian albums of all time. It's spectacular honestly. Listen to it. Blink-182 - Blink-182: This album sort of marked the turning point in my music listening. It sort of branched off from the normal Blink-182 (Which was like all i listened to), which allowed me to seek out other artists. Any collection of greatest hits by - Warren Zevon: I kinda think that Zevon is the most talented songwriter who has ever lived. Listen to anything by him. And not Werewolves of London, because that's the song everyone knows by him. Challengers - The New Pornographers: Wicked album. The Devil and God are Raging Inside of Me - Brand New: I could have picked any of the other albums by Brand New, but this is the only one they released when I was a fan of them. Seeing and hearing these songs played live is amazing. I have to go, but I'm going to add more later if I remember.

I don't want to pick on you, but this was the album that made me stop liking Blink. I had everyone of their albums and was obsessed with them but after that album came out I haven't listened to one. I felt so violated Anyway... I did a Myspace blog about this. I think I came up with 8. I will shorten it. Lagwagon - Live In A Dive: I know what you're thinking, a live album?!?! But it is the pinnacle of punk goodness. It is incredible. You can really feel the energy and they have selected all their best songs for it too. Sublime - 40 Oz. To Freedom: I just love this album. Brilliant. Shame he had to off himself. Hot Water Music - Caution: So much raw power in this, mixed with incredible lyrics. Intense! The Bronx - The Bronx III: Only came out this year but it is also amazingly incredible. Just pure ZOMFG! 28 Days - Stealing Chairs: This is the best Australia has to offer in my opinion. And it is definitely 5 stars. I think most people would disagree but I love it. Honourable mentions go to: Against Me! - Crime, NOFX - The Decline, Rise Against - Revolutions Per Minute, Strung Out - An American Paradox
You aren't picking on me, you're just stating an opinion. Anyways, The Decline is a fantastic piece of work. A lot of big NOFX fans haven't even heard it, it's amazing. Good to see there are other people who like it haha.
I love Ludo! They're possibly one of my favorite bands. I can't say I loved You're Awful, I Love You very much at all though D: There are only a few songs I can listen to without getting bored.
Wow...this is literally impossible for me...I've been thinking about this since I first read the thread like a week ago...and I haven't been able to do it. I could easily give all 3 top spots to In The Court of the Crimson King, Red, and Discipline...all by King Crimson... Or, I could easily give all to Abbey Road, White Album, Sgt. Pepper/Revolver (Tie...ish) all by the Beatles... Hell, I can't even decide on my top 3 bands that easily...apparently I suck at this... I like Lake Pontchartrain and I could seriously base my whole opinion on the album on that song. I mean, I don't, but I could... I think that there might be subliminal messaging in the song that makes me want to like it. :|
