Has anyone here read this book/seen the movie? I'm reading the book now, but apparently it was a movie first so I'm interested to see it. Was referred to the book by my Creative Writing teacher. It's really interesting so far. What do you guys think?
Basically its a waste of time... i watched it in class one time in grade 12(mandatory) cant really remember the whole point to it but i think its about being positive and the fact that if you are positive more opportunities and good fortune will come your way.(wow that was a long sentence)
I thought it was really interesting, and I was into it when I was watching it. But as I tried to implement the techniques, nothing ever seemed to change. Things are as they are, and Im not sure if any amount of positive thinking can change the that.
i know.. i tried it also...worked out for a week then life was the same no new opportunities came ... in fact being positive screwed me over(nice guys finish last) i found that if you want something or something go for it... the squeaky wheel gets the grease.
Yeah, it seems like an interesting concept but it seems very flawed. But it also seems to work for a lot of people, too. So who knows?
Was it the one Natalie Portman acted in or something? If it was then I remember it being a rather dark movie the last time I saw it. Have to say the movie needs a decent understanding of literature to comprehend totally.
An Aussie show called The Chasers War On Everything took the mickey out of this one. I thought it was pretty funny. http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=usbNJMUZSwo These were the guys who breached the maximum security entrance at the APEC summit a while back
Have you ever seen the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson? When he reads the emails to the show, it kinda reminds me fo the opening to that^ Btw krilas, not sure, cuz I haven't seen the movie. But after reading the book, it doesn't seem very dark.
