Deadly Dice is the more sinister dice game found on Roo Island. It is available to play ONLY during the time interval 12:00 AM NST to 1:00 AM NST. In order to play you must first have a pet that is level 2 or higher.

The concept of the game is very simple. You and Count von Roo will both roll a die.
    • If your roll is higher, your pet gains a level.
    • If your roll is lower, your pet loses a level.
    • In the case of tie, you and the Count will both roll again with the stakes doubled. For instance, if I tie on the first roll, and lose on the second, my pet would lose 2 levels.
It is impossible for your pet to be less than level 1, so you can never play for more levels than your current level-1.

    Time Theory:
Several sites state that the result of the dice roll is based on the time.
    Taken from http://www.pinkpt.com/deadlydice_sec.htm
    Code (Text):
    1. To gain a level: Click roll *JUST* before the Neopets clock ticks over to an even number. This may require a bit of timing on your part to find out exactly the right point to click, but once you've got it, you've got it.
    2.
    3. To lose a level: Click any other time, with the exception of the tie.
    4.
    5. To tie: (Credit goes to smittyaggi3316 for figuring this out, and netting 16 levels in the process!!!)
    6.
    7. You need to click on the second just before the minute. i.e. 12:05:59, 12:06:59, 12:07:59, etc to tie. When you tie, you have the option of going again. HOWEVER you can just stop if you feel it's a bit too high a gain..
I have not gotten the rolls to work in my favor with this theory, but that might be caused by my computer/internet lag.

Aside from using it to train your pet, Deadly Dice also has an avatar.

To obtain it, you have to tie and then beat Count von Roo on the second roll. However, after getting the avatar, you can also lose it by tieing the count, and then losing to him.

Thank you for reading my guide and feel free to post any questions or comments.

Do you know there is anyone proving that already?

If the timing theory is true, it will be a great help for anyone to train thier pets super fast!

The time theory hasn't worked out so far for me. I tried it last night and ended up losing a level instead of tieing at the second before another minute. But this could just be problems with my computer/internet connection. Feel free to test it out yourself :)

There are programs out there that you can set to adjust to this time theory. I'll try this theory the next time I run the program. Thanks for the guide.

I got the avatar while I was in China and I could play in the middle of the day, instead of the middle of the night :p
I had no idea about the time things.
