    Hey Guys,

I was reading up on some of the other guides to do with staying ice-free and thought that there wasn't much on the actual settings of the autobuyer, the bit which i think is the most important

however, some of my ideas will come from this thread so credit to L_scorpio
    neopets-information-f82/how-to-avoid-getting-frozen-t234.html

besides using a browser based aber (such as ricky92's ffaber), which i believe is almost unfreezable, there are several things which you can do to reduce the risk of abing

    1/ Being Human

    a/ Constantly Change Refresh Rates

Who can refresh between 5 and 11 seconds for 2 hours straight? No-one. Humans will take breaks (AU does that for us automatically) but they will also miss refreshes and have more unpredictable refresh patterns.

When I autobuy I like to use a refresh rate of 5-11 seconds but every 15 mins or so I change it.

here is an example of what will happen: start with a rate of 5-11; 15 mins later will change it to 4-9; then to 4-11; then to 5-13; then to 3-8 for maybe a minute or 2; then perhaps leave it at 4-12 for half an hour

b/ Restocking for Realistic Amounts of Time

Personally, I would not recommend autobuying for more than 2 hours per day. I would also highly recommend doing this in several sittings. Perhaps 3 sets of 40 minutes autobuying?

You can obviously autobuy for more than 2 hours per day, but this will increase the chance of being frozen. Unless you are trying to weekend autobuy, the maximum that would have any chance of appearing to be legit would be 4 hours.

    c/ Buy Times

The quickest any legit player can buy an item at is about 2 seconds. I remember that's about how quick Soc said he rsed at and occasionally he got frozen (very occasionally though).

If you are using AU, I would recommend adding a Buy Time Delay (or whatever its called) of about 1-2 seconds.

    d/ Logging In and Out

The 1 flaw (and note it is basically the ONLY flaw) in AU is if you want to do something with your account you must logout in AU and then login in your internet browser and I think that this is one key way TNT detects people. No legit player would logout and then login in another browser so they could play a game, would they? No, they would just navigate from where they were to the relevant page.

Expon, a little program suggestion for you here, I would love to see an integrated browser in AU or anything which let us browser the site without having to logout/login.

    2/ Looking Human

This is not as important as the section on "Being Human", but if you account is flagged this could save you.

a/ Make It Look Like You Care About Your Account

A plain account lookup page just screams aber to tnt

Perhaps add fancy lookup thingy, doesn't even need to be custom.

    b/ Avatars and Games

Most legit players will have played a few games and looked around the site a bit, getting some of the 'clickable' avies. I'm not sure how much this actually helps, but it can't hurt to have 50 avies and played 10 games, can it?

    c/ Spidering

AU will do this for you, but I think that it is quite helpful to look around the site a bit. If TNT see that you have only visited the shop page and the haggle page, they might get a bit suspicious.

    3/ Selling

    a/ Buyable

If the item is buyable, you're safe to sell it in your shop straight away

    b/ Unbuyable - 100-300k

For unbuyables which sell for 100-300k, you should be safe putting them on the trading post straight away, along with a suitable wishlist.

Avoid "QUICKSALE!! Take this off my hands!"

    c/ Unbuyable 300k+

If the unbuyable is worth more than 300k (especially important if it is over 1 mil), chances are some 133t restocker will have also seen it in the shop and not even got to the haggle page. Legit rsers think that it has been got by an aber, and then post this in the boards. If you try and sell your item straight away, the legit rser will notice, as if its a really expensive item, he'll probably have a look on the trading board and if they see one which has only just gone up will probably report you for abing. This draws unwanted attention to you account and can be avoided by putting the item in your SDB for about a week. Obviously the more expensive the item, the longer you'll want to leave it in there.

If I think of anything else, I will add to this guide, thanks for reading and I appreciate any comments.

How sketchy does it look if I do ABing on one computer and all my other stuff on another computer at a completely different time of day (different IPs)?

Thanks for the guide, it looks great...I think I'm doing things properly :p

i guess it does look a bit dodgy

if i were you, i would keep one of the computers (ips) legit and use the other to ab on

that's fine, so long as you don't use the same account at home and at "work", otherwise if the account gets frozen both ips will be illegit

I sincerely wish that I had found this before I started ABing on my main. I might have saved myself a bit of grief. Nice guide and thanks for sharing. ^_^

some pretty useful tips in this guide but what about the best ways to get these items / nps to your main account without being detected? some say they web it through multiple account and then self freeze. whats your process?

well hopefully you won't get frozen at all so this could be your main...

nah...i personally prefer to buy junk from my others accounts' shops and then let it sit for a while in those accounts before transferring

self-freeze would reduce the risk of you being iced in the transferring process, however, it is unnecessary unless you weekend ab (check out adam's guide if you're interested in this)

Umm, I know this may be a stupid question, but in order to use Auto Buyers you have to have Neopoints first right?
Like, if autobuyer is buying something worth 50k, you have to have 50k to buy the item right? It's not some magic "get the item free" program...right?

(I know this is a REALLY stupid question, I just want to be x2 sure xD) (And I'm a Newbie around here, so forgive me :p )

    Oh, and one last thing:

How do you "Self-Ice"? Is there an option to close your account? could someone please explain the subject a little? :p

After that, how would you transfer it to you main, thru shop?
Would it be safer to transfer to your sides by trading, since we can only use the shop on our main? and then from the sides to the main thru shop. =3

if your talking about abing on accounts that use thesame email you're going to besorely disappointed when you try to log on because that's the first thing TNT will freeze when they chain ice you for abing. Normally when you ab you do it with accounts on different emails so you don't have to worry about your main and sides not being able o have shops. Lastly never transfer by trades it is one of the more dectectable methods of transfer always transfer by shop as it is much easier to erase your footsteps when you transfer by shop...

p.s. when you post try to use the edit button if you want to add something to a previous post instead of posting multiple posts, that is considered spam and we don't exactly enjoy spammers here xD

Dang, I use my trades for everything. XD I use different emails for all my accounts. Thanks!

    And sorry about the posts. I though I was editing my first, but I noticed afterwards that I made all new ones. ^^;

The last point is so important it should be stressed so much more. Time is extremely important; you need people to forget about these kinds of things. It also helps to stay away from things like the boards so as to not draw suspicion towards your account.

Yeah, I never thought about acting like a human while abing...
    Seems reasonable enough :D
I gotta say that was some great input :)
I never thought about keeping those unbuyables in my SDB for a week or so before selling (but it does make sense!)
