anyone pick this up? I've been waiting for this game for quite some time, its been out for about a month now but I havent bought it yet. I'm curious if anyone has played it and how it compares to the original?

Played the Demo, though I never played the original. It seems fun I mainly just played the "Hall of Meat" and could see how badly I could injure my character.

in the original there was an achievement to break every bone in your body while playing in any mode. alas, countless hours were spent trying to jump off cliffs or buildings and land upside down on cars or people...

sadly, i was never able to break more than 20 bones. i heard about the new hall of meat feature tho. sounds pretty ballin

yeah, its much better than the original imo.

you can get off your board, move stuff around, ect.

i thought the missions where a bit easier too.

yeah thats another fun feature I'd do an ollie then hop off mid ollie, pretty much just deck a bystander and hop back on. Hilarious the first time you do it.

not necessarily, its just a matter of perfecting the technique, which anyone can do really. but it does help if you have a precursory knowledge of real skateboarding as the flick and spin techniques and controller layout are pretty much perfectly identical to the flicks and spin motions your feet would make when performing the same tricks on a real board. when you are facing the opposite direction on your board than the norm (or switch as we call it) all the controls are backwards, just like real skating. so it can be tricky at first but its definately the most realistic and fun skating game ive ever played
