Believe it or not a live action dragonball movie is in the works.. Due to be released April 8th 2008. Your favorite saiyan Goku will be there as a teen/adult dude. Played by Justin Chatwin. You'll have Bulma with her (one strip of) blue hair played by the lovely Emmy Rossum. Lord Piccolo (the evil one) will be not green until the end of the movie played by the talented James Marsters. A non perverted Roshi will appear played by asian star Chow Yun Fat Yamcha and Chi-chi will also be there... Shenron the Dragon will be voiced by non other than Chris Sabat of the TV Anime! (Funimation Dub) no Krillin =[ There will be an Oozaru transformation... interesting. Energy Blasts included. Not sure about it... initially thinking this will be UBER FAIL.. but the inner nerd/fanboy tells me to still go see it. http://www.dbthemovie.com <= blog on updates..
wow... this looks like it is going to sink the failboat .... it just looks to cheesy to take seriously... they should have made like a 3d movie... that actor playing goku doesn't even have longspiky hair its short. Why only one strip pf blue hair for Bulma. its going to turn out bad but ill probably rent it or something. lol
They....changed the storyline....Dragonball starts with Goku as a kid. Non-perverted Roshi? There's a lot of jokes that will be missed out on that. Then again, I can't imagine Chow Yun Fat acting as a perverted guy. I'm not unhappy about James Marsters being cast, but I think he could have also played Vegeta. Who isn't appearing in the film. It looks like a fail, but I want to see it just to see how much fail it is
Yeah, I heard about this over the summer...Hollywood is completely owning my childhood cartoons... First they spit on Scooby-Doo, then they man-handle Speed Racer, and now they want to sodomize DBZ *cries in a corner* EDIT: I might add that what they did to Transformers was also offensive, but I'm in the minority on that argument...
Heh, I'm still going to be optimistic about this movie. Who knows? I might be decent. BTW this isn't Dragonball Z its Dragonball
Yes....YOU might be decent. But I doubt this movie will. Man. Produced by Stephen Chow. Who knows. Stephen Chow's input may help. He's made some pretty great movies. And from this leak: http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=6nx0laRWdZI If you didn't know, there was already a DB movie, made a while back. http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=tGIIL1gKVN0 Here's the first part. It looks a bit less painful, but still not up to scratch to the anime
ahaha... i love the original.. i like how the blue alien dude(cant remember name) stuggles to move his face when he talks.
*ahem* lmfao... >_> I knew there was a movei already made and ive seen it. Pretty hilarious stuff if you ask me... IT*
Yeah, I know it's DB not DBZ...made a mistake Anyway, a Thundercats CGI movie is coming out too *cries*
thats stupid that piccolo isnt green. Wasting money on a money that will fail. It would just seem like any other martial arts movie.
He supposedly starts out normal but as the movie goes on he eventually turns green so cool your jets . :yup:
I foresee that this movie is fail. They changed the entire plot, it would be better if they started goku young. Goku is so funny when he's young. I dislike how the main character is not asian while almost all of the others are too..
SOOOO not cool. Like the Hardcore DB/DBZ/DBGT fan that i am i hate to see the show get f***** up. It better be good otherwise they will lose plenty of fans.
I don't see how this could possibly be good since much of the concepts in DBZ really cannot be ported to a live action flick. I can't imagine someone just standing there "powering-up" and screaming for like 30 seconds while enemy stares at him. Not to mention the energy blasts will probably look corny.
