I'm not gay, but people keep telling me I am. For me, it's not really an offence (or whatever you call it in english), but I still think most of the people nowadays are homophobe, just because of their friends just wanna be cool telling someone is gay. But I gotta say that we have to deal with it, since most of the people in our community don't have a good IQ... I guess.

What does this even teach to kids ?? Gay people suck or what? )

    That's what I'm talking about.

I can stand if a guy likes other guys.

But if a guy that likes other guys acts like a woman and talks with a massive lisp, etc THAT pisses me off.

Yeah, exactly. It's infuriating when guys go out of their way to camp it up.
Another thing I can't stand is being hit on by guys who continue to try to pick you up long after you've very politely and understandingly told them you're very flattered but don't swing that way. It's just rude. If I were to ask a girl if I could get her a drink and she said no, I wouldn't freaking stand around hitting on her. It's ridiculously obnoxious.

Gay guys who hit on straight guys are fucking pathetic. They KNOW they won't get him, but they try to 'seduce' him and be 'sexy' anyway. It's like " Why even fucking bother?"
Just tell them if they don't fuck off, you're going to hit them. It's seriously the easiest way of doing it.

While it certainly would be effective, threatening to hit a guy gay 'cause he's trying to pick you up would only get you labled as a homophobe, and entirely unfairly.

xD To be honest, it would be their own fault for harassing you.

When people call you a homophobe, you say " I asked him politely to stop, because I don't go to bed with guys, and he continued to carry on."

    Simples. =D

Yeah I suppose you're right. If someone won't accept no for an answer they totally deserve a smack in the face anyway.

We both agree if someone continues hitting on someone even after being rejected, they deserve a punch in the face. =D

    I completely agree.

Just for the record, I would have shot down North Korea's rocket.

Homophobes really make me mad. Its annoying that they are perfectly comfortable with a person, and then when they come out they are suddenly scared. Just because someone is gay does not mean they are going to try to touch you, or get in your pants. Grow up people.

I have to agree that it is wrong to treat someone differently because of who they like... Biblically speaking, you should treat everyone the same, those that claim to live by the bible but treat someone different because of their sin are kidding themselves. According to the Bible, we are all sinners, right? Everyone's sin is different... I agree with what others have said about homophobs being ignorant. I do not agree with it myself, but is not my place to condemn or treat a royal differently than anyone else.

No problem with it, and in my country it is accepted very well imo ( I live in the Nethelands ).
Truth is though, that their excessive behaviour can be very strange, and at times just plain annoying.

I certainly agree. I live in a very rural area, and in my small high school (about 250 Kids total) we have only one girl that's openly bi. Nobody is openly gay. We had a bi girl graduate last year, and then one the year before. I didn't have a problem with any of these people. (Well, not for being bi, one of the girls was a complete stoner and I wasn't too fond of her for that...)
The one girl that's bi at my school now is kind of my friend. I don't talk to her much, but I'll give her a hug. She doesn't proposition me because she knows I'm straight. The rest of the school has their suspicions though... but I don't really care. My friends know I'm straight, that's all that counts.

I'm not religious and therefore find it preposterous in the first place. (yes, I know there are other reasons, but in general this is the root of it from what I've seen~) I have a few gay/bi friends and they are just the same as everyone else. Except maybe better. ):

Well all of this is kind of new there has never been a point in time with more openly gay people out there.

Your girlfriend might of been brought up and taught alot differently, it's not her fault. Most homophobes grow out of it
and end up appreciating human beings for who they are not who they love.

Although most people shy away from gays, I do feel sorry for them. Just like how one cannot choose to be male/female, 'pretty'/'ugly', one cannot choose to be 'straight'/'gay' (for the most part; I know that some grow into it).

However, it'd be 'less chaotic' to stick to the status quo. Although that would also constitute to us only wanting to 'stay in our comfort zone' and sticking to majority's views, which does not mean that it is the best option.
