Re: Pokemon thread So what's the big draw of pokemon, anyway? I never played it as a kid and still haven't, it all looks so formulaic and boring to me.
Re: Pokemon thread Yeah... it does get boring and very formulaic. i remember red and blue... los of fun times playing them.. then yellow came up and i got it same as gold and silver. but i was turned off of pokemon games due to the fact that they were basically all the same. however im completing emerald but im never paying for a pokemon game again. thank god for emulators lol..
Re: Pokemon thread the first 2 generations were fun because i never had to worry about those EV and IV crap... but now its becoming more complicated, i got tired of training just to raise a good pokemon so i quit
Re: Pokemon thread Ditto. But by playing Platinum, I mean downloading it off the internet xD ---- I used to hack pokemon xD. Great thing called pokesav. Pokemon follows this pattern: -First two games (red and blue) -Better version of the last two games. (yellow) -New two games (gold and silver) -Better version of those two games (I forget what it was called xD) -New two games (ruby and saphire) -Better version (emerald) -Re-invention of the first two games (Fire Red, Leaf Green) -Two New Games (Diamond/Pearl) -Better Version (platinum) It's getting really repetative. They need to try something new. (Other than crappy boring Game-Cube games xD)
Re: Pokemon thread just got platinum today from my mom for easter. :maha: i dont really mind the lack of changes im just happy to be playing a new pokemon game again. edit: they are very formulaic but idk i like the,. they are soothing to be ive been playing pokemon since i was 6. ~takes me back to the good old days
Re: Pokemon thread yup! my mom has always given me a ton of candy, some money, and some presents like games/clothes/whatever for easter. i am a little spoiled :funky:
Re: Pokemon thread best version was pokemon yellow word. New fun and interestingly cute at that point in time. they should have just stopped there , everything is getting really repetitive. I'm playing platinum now and im bored stiff at lvl 30!
Re: Pokemon thread I used to LOVE Pokemon...I still have a card collection (Probably around 10,000 cards in there), and I used to watch the TV series and play the games until I was like...11 or 12. Then I kinda..."Grew out of it". But I have a little brother, and he sometimes watches pokemon on TV...and I have to say: It's not fucking funny anymore! Those creatures are getting more fucked up each season, as the producers run out of ideas on what animals to cross-breed. They have a BEE....with a MOUSTACHE!!!
Re: Pokemon thread omg lolol so true... they have like hella random names now and come up wid the weirdest ideas... I can only lol at pokemon like abomasnow
Re: Pokemon thread I never learned to play the card game till like 1 month ago. Now I can't stop buying booster packs. >< I love the games still though. I onno why but even though they're the most repetitive games ever They're still REALLY fun. Weird.
Re: Pokemon thread I have a strong desire to buy a DSL (not the new DSi) to play Pokemon lol! It really brings me back memories when I have my GBC and playing Crystal. And DSLites are so cheap now , I am seriously considering this option
