Cricket is a mostly British sport that spread throughout the world to places like India and Australia via the British Empire in the 1800s. It's the sport that "inspired" baseball, in the same way rugby inspired American football. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cricket You can read about cricket there. Cricket is, strangely, most noteable for being the only major "world" sport that doesn't expressly forbid mixed-gender teams in its rules.
collegiate wrestling. It is one of the purest forms of athleticism. People have been wrestling with each other since people have been around. There is no strange goal to the game (i.e getting a ball into a hole), it is simply one of the things humans naturally do. That is why it is so easy to start as a beginner -- our bodies are made for it.
I like to play tennis and badminton. Basically any racket sports. But I'll watch basically any sport. Mainly basketball, baseball, and tennis though.
Well in case the entire nf community couldn't guess my top 2 favorite sports by now they are definitely 1. Polevault --> Vid of me vaulting 2. Cross Country 3. Soccer i used to play soccer before i found xc and polevault and i still play it from time to time i'm failry decent at it too
1. Tennis is the best sport ever 2. Badminton is pretty awesome 3. Football is good fun with friends 4. If you dont play it too often, Basketball can be great
My favorite sport would have to be football...not because i like the sport or anything...Just because me and my family dont really hang out that much besides on sundays when the steelers play!
Mmm, volleyball. I honestly can't compare beach and indoor, they're totally different. Like apples and oranges. One game is to outpower the other team, while the other is all about thinking. I find that after playing beach my mind is more tired than my body. Indoor is awesome cause I make sick digs when people should normally score =D Beach especially is extremely physical as well. 8x8m court to cover, and there are only two people. And one is blocking. So the digger (in my case, me, partner blocks) has to cover basically the whole court and chase everything down. From one corner to another, to another.
soccer. Because i don't know D: I just like playing it and watching it ;D its loads of fun ;D and gets you to move quickly. & work out on your body
I used to play club volleyball year round for 5 years, but I quit and took up tennis... why? just look at Rafael Nadal! =)
Basketball all the way! Love playing basketball (even though I suck) and love watching basketball. Football is a close second with baseball last. For me, baseball is just to slow and long for me to like it.
1. Snowboarding 2. Badminton 3. Racket ball I don't play a lot of hard core physical stuff. I like to watch the Fifa cup and Hockey though xD I like snowboarding..cuz..well..i'm Canadian! And uhh..badminton because i'm good at it, and racket ball because it's a good way to take out on anger or just when you're bored or something.
Soccer Hockey Baseball I just love watching & playing soccer so much. Alot of people don't like the fact that there isn't that many goals, but it isn't just about the goals. You have to watch the touch on the ball, the passing, the skill is amazing. There is a reason why the call it the beautiful game. Maybe I am biased because of my European roots i don't know. Hockey, well, how can I not love it? I'm Canadian lol
