And in my opinion, your theory, if it can so be called, is no less ridiculous than any put forward by any religion. I'm afraid we'll have to agree to disagree.

I, for one, am a human being... a product of nature and the odd alignment of nine really big rocks; revolving around an even bigger ball of fire. Aliens are nothing more than us... because to, let's say, a martian, we would be pretty alien... AND if God were an alien, then there's a little bit of God in all of us.

Okay, which has greater odds of being true.

    There are Aliens.
    There is a God.

I say Aliens, and if you continue down that road, then this makes good sense to me.

But okay, we'll agree to disagree xD

Ooh, interesting theory. I can see where you're coming from.

Another thing that I've been thinking about is whether our "universe" is a part of something larger. Think of it as us running a computer physics simulation where we are the ones being manipulated. If our world was calibrated just slightly off, none of it would be like how it is today. Could this careful calibration be done by some greater power?

Working with what we currently know physics-wise: the universe cannot be larger than it currently is. The universe encompasses everything that there ever was and everything that there ever will be, and can never be measured or overtaken. But, keep in mind that is with current physics laws - we could defy them, who knows :)

but i thought the universe was ever expanding o_O with objects moving away from each other the universe would technically be expanding constantly and what happens when those objects reach the end of the universe if the universe cant be larger than it already is...

my head hurts xD i love talking about space and stuff like that but i also hate it it's so incomprehensible, almost like an omniscient being, or aliens xD

for those who don't believe in god or not sure what to believe I can understand that they could think this but for a religious person or just a believer they would think that this is total bs lol, me personally I understand the thought behind it but I believe in god so I will go with this is total bs :p

And yet, as ridiculous as this is, as little evidence as there is to support it, it is still no more absurd than your beliefs. Equally absurd certainly, but no more.

There are a lot of religions/mythologies that contain great similarities. As far as I know, Jesus is the only (supposed) deity from any of them whose existence can be proven. So leave the Babylonians, Greeks, and Egyptians out of it and focus on him. The question is - Was Jesus actually God or an ancient charming charlatan with severe masochistic tendencies? If the answer is God, then the next question is - Is there anything about Jesus's life to suggest he was an alien? If the answer is super-persuasive nutcase, then there are no more questions. No God, therefore God is not an alien.

I don't think 'God' is an alien. 'God' is something (or someone) religious people created for themselves to explain their existence or their sense of live or whatever. While I am not religious, I try to make my own explanation, which is similar to the ones mentioned before: There are 'aliens' or at least other living being who observe and/or control us.
Have you ever read books from Erich von Däniken? He is writing much about aliens living on earth before us human. He is analyzing historical mermorials, their history and development and then proving his 'alienlike' theories in a very logical way.

Never read any of his books. I'll go to the library tomorrow to see if I can find any of his books, thanks :)

And the explanation of "'God' is something (or someone) religious people created for themselves to explain their existence or their sense of live or whatever." makes sense to me too.

You could say "God" was an alien because people believe in this figure that is unknown. But, there's always a debate about whether He exists or not, so I don't know if "alien" is the right word for something that is mysterious, different, and it's existence is questioned...
