Seriously! I'm surprised there's no thread about it, or there might be that I didn't see.
    It's a VERY good/cute movie :)

    I really liked it.

Did anyone else watch it yet?

If you did not watch the movie, click spoiler tags at your own risk. Don't blame us for ruining anything.

Yeah... I dunno, it was cute I guess, but had a lot of plot holes.

Like, why did the explorer dude immediately assume Karl was planning on stealing the bird? If they'd found it and wanted to steal it, they probably would've tried to get out with it ASAP, instead of dicking around and staying for dinner.

Not to mention that if the balloons were in the house the whole time... why didn't it float away earlier? It was also estimated that to lift the house up (and off of its foundations!) it would take 23,000,000 balloons, though animators said they only drew about 200,000. Alsoooo, if the house ripped off the foundations, it would have shot up really really fast as soon as it tore loose, instead of leisurely sailing away.

But yeah, aside from that, it was good xD. I liked the 3d.

Ahaha yeah. My boyfriend and I often see flaws, but hey, it's a kid's film, it's the "magical world of disney", you can't expect everything to be realistic, it won't be fun :)

    But still..
Imagine the big let down for Carl to find out that a part of his life since childhood revolved around this old dude, and if Carl is that old, shouldn't that explorer guy he dead??? LOL

& Where is the explorer guy getting all his food to feed them anyways??

It honestly starts off SO depressing, I found at some points of the movie I was like "OMFG this is for children? I wouldn't know how to explain it to my kids >_>"

    WHO LOVES THE DOGS? <3

For a doberman, that was pretty shameful :maha:
Also, it was funny how even the baby bird hissed at Doug.

Explorer dude=crazy paranoid meth addict. He was paranoid EVERYONE was trying to steal the bid, thats why he killed everyone who came the the island (the map maker, pilot, etc).

My favorite part in the whole movie - "Red car!" "Blue car!" "GREY CAR!"

Cancer is a sneaky ninja? I dunno, but I thought the same thing and even commented it to my friend. She thought it was a really bad call on pixar's part because some parents don't address death until about five years old, but who knows. :| I bet a law suit has come from this.

Yeah and it's a DISNEY movie, I mean I can understand some of the stuff that doesn't really make sense in RL, but the death thing, psycho Muntz, and the depressed kid, SERIOUSLY WTH?

I think it was an adequate use of my time, but I [i[wouldn't[/i] say it would be worth the $10 to go see it. I'm not disappointed, because my parents paid for the tickets and snacks when I took my little brother, but I definitely wouldn't want to pay for it myself.

That said, the only genre of movie I really like is comedy ;).

I heard this movie was really quite good. A lot of people seemed to like it better than Wall-E...and I know a lot of people who have put it in their top 3 pixar films of all time. Do you guys feel the same way? I haven't seen it yet...
