If you can give me some proof about that I'd believe you.

Even then, those are the extremes, everybody with some common sense wouldn't let that happen.

I found it boring and time consuming, the skill you require to play this game could be learned at birth. BUTTON MASHING
The PvP is dismal, it is basicaly just how fast you can mash the skill buttons, run around your opponent, how good your priest is, and how fast they can mash buttons.

15 a month, 180 a year in total, it's worth it if you enjoy it. It would be time consuming if you get addicted, personally I played for a couple month got to level 9, I found the game boring :| Try the free trial version first.

    1. It's $15 or $16 dollars a month, but that's only if you pay per-month. If you choose larger plans (3/6/12 months) the monthly rate is lower, all the way down to about $10/month when you get 12 months, IIRC.

    2. The Mac version is just as good, I have multiple friends who play it on Macs and have no issues. It even has built-in iTunes support.

    3. Not sure, but you should be able to run it no matter what, it isn't that hardware intensive.

    4. ABSOLUTELY. I recently froze my account and stopped playing just because I wasn't making use of the money I was spending on my subscription, but I've played for almost 3 years and I wouldn't trade some of the experiences I had with it, especially as a new or low-level player, for anything in the world. Maybe for someone who is more acquainted already with MMO's won't be as entranced, but WoW has a certain endearing something on all of its competitors...

    5. WoW is designed to NOT be time consuming, but it will probably end up being so. You can certainly make progress with only 30 minutes, an hour, or a few hours a day; the only issue is that you will likely want to make faster progression than that schedule will offer you. However, if you have the self-control to stick to a limited amount of daily time, the game is designed well to support it and you will be able to enjoy it very much.

Ehhh I disagree. There's a difference between running it and actually being able to play. I know I certainly wouldn't want to do anything at 3-5 fps. Sooooo (v)ram is definitely something to take into consideration.

I thought that wow was fun as hell but I would suggest you buy it only if wasting 5 hours a day for the next 30 days of your life sounds like something you want to do.

I played WoW for more than one year but quit 2 years ago. I'd not reccomend it since you need a lot of time for it if you want to become good. It also costs way to much money... Play something less time intensive and less costly...

It's actually true when people say WoW will engulf your life >_<
I started having dreams that I was playing o_o
It cost far too much money
    But...
It's really fun! And I would actually reccomend it. Everyone has to go through it at one stage =P

    Edit:
    Ugh sorry, grave digg
I haven't been on this site in ages so everything still comes up as being new posts >_<
    Sorry :S

I played WoW before, maybe like 2 years ago? can say its damn addictive especially if you're really keen on pvp cos once you start, you can't stop! i quited playing the game for good. bad for health since i doubt i'll be able to control myself.

I have played WoW for quite a long time and i must say it's probably the most addicting game out there. for me anyway. Its worth playing for a while, but once you notice you're losing a social life for it it, I tend to think the scale is turning. so I quit. Was lots of fun leveling up for awhile running through new instances. But end content can get old fast.

nope in no way is WoW worth it, especially to the people that get addicted to nothing, its a basic mmo its just really big thats it, and its slowly dying, and once you hit 80 the game is pointless!

Umm I don't subscribe to it..but I did try out the trial version during Christmas break. I downloaded it for my Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger), and it was actually a pretty fun game. Ran smooth and never experienced any problems. Spent most of my time exploring/mining then selling to buy stuff, and even basic things like that were fun lol.
Unfortunately, I had a RS subscription at the time, and didn't feel like paying $15 vs. $5.
All in all, it's a good game no doubt. Just control yourself.
