Yeah, I've heard about it, and in some weird way I find it kinda scary - I mean, if it really works like they say it will - can we really do that with technology? whoah, scary xD other than that, yeah pretty cool.. I would probably try it, but it's not something that makes me go wild :b

Its definitely interesting to see how Microsoft AND Sony do with their motion detection. The Wii's is abysmal even with the Wii+ add-on.

It's silly if you ask me...and likely won't be used for too many games.

The problem I see with it, is that gamers would like to be holding something to connect them to most games. For example:

racing games: nice to have something to hold, makes you feel more "at the wheel"
fps: so you're supposed to pretend you're holding a gun but you don't hold anything? This extends to any game with hand-held weapons of any sort.

It is a very interesting proposition and cool technology, but I don't see it being successfully implemented in most games.

If they can pull it off, I'm sure it will be fun. But there are the games that are supported by it which will be limited. Also the draw with the xb360 is the graphics of the games and the game play. Now with this the games will have to be dulled down to Wii graphics and you will never get all the hands on stuff anymore with the Natal since it's motion capture and no buttons, so the game play will be dulled down too...

Ugh I hate how xbox is trying to go down this horrible family-fun media centre esque route
It's supposed to be for hardcore gamers!
Casual gamers get a Wii, xbox needs to stop trying to compete

on one hand it seems kind of stupid and pointless. like i dont want to play halo or call of duty like that, but on the other hand that is f*cking sweet! that system would be really good for like strategy games and such and the interface seems cool. now we are just going to have to wait and see if it works as well as microsoft shows it

That reminds me of something else in development which I totally think games will pick up:

The one major issue that I see with this is the motion recognition. What happens if someone passes in the hall right behind you? Or someone else comes into the room?

The prices for that thing.....omg....if they keep the graphics at high standards...>_> I don't think anyone would be able to afford it.

I think its one of those things that when you get it it wont be as great as you expected or as they make it seem. Kinda felt that same way when the wii came out.

Wow, the families in that are like Mormon LOL

But that technology is seriously amazing.. that is going above and beyond anything else out there. Until one company goes all out to develop a virtusphere (see spoiler), I think nothing can really beat this :/
