    Okay, so I got into reading Dan Brown quite awhile ago. I didn't even know they made the Da Vinci code into a movie until I heard someone talking about it (yeah, I'm sheltered). Still haven't seen the movie, loved the book though. Since then I've read everything he's written and now Angels & Demons is a movie. So has anyone else actually read anything by him? Or just watched the movie(s)?

    I've read all the books he has written. Deception Point, Digital Fortress, Angels and Demons, Da Vinci Code, and I think there's one more that I forgot to mention. I simply love all his books, excellent plot(though some may say they're all the same). I think my favourite would be Digital Fortress, a lot of cryptography involved, makes it super cool xD

    The movies are pretty disappointing though, they skip out on lots of details and they don't portray the book's thrilling plot and stuff.

    The thing about the movies is that they are short, but from a technical perspective they're BRILLIANT. The second movie, every scene on Vatican ground was either digitally made, or built. It's really hard to pack in all the plot in 2 hours, and not have it span to LOTR standards X_X.

    I've read quite a few of his books, they're really good for a quick read. (I'm still going to stay with my opinion that it's really terrible on character depth).

    Oh I didn't know the scenes were digitally made ._. Damn thats pretty awesome lol. Then again, I would prefer if 2 movies were made, somewhat splitting the entire book into 2 parts or something. Trying to squeeze the book into a 2hour movie is just taking out too much details for me to enjoy. Of course for someone who hasn't read the book, it may seem pretty alright. Books are still the best :D

    The books are by no means examples of good writing, but I agree that they are very enjoyable quick reads...I like to call them "beach reads" because you can just go to the beach for the day and bang out one of those books in a few hours while you get some sun. Plus, they are fun and easy to read.

    I have only read Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons (the latter is much better) and I hear good things about Digital Fortress.

    The movies were awful. Angels and Demons was tolerable, but they were both seriously awful. The books are real page-turners that get you into the story and you feel like you are racing along...but when they try to translate that into a movie everything just feels rushed, shallow, and stupid. Disappointing.

    "Ohh noz there's a another sign!" *runs for 5 min* "Hurry over there!" *runs for 15 min*

    One long running scene after another....>_>;;;

    I loved Digital Fortress as well. The thing I like about Dan Brown is he seems to really research things for his books. Like in Deception Point, all of the technology he wrote about is real? Wow. And is it just me or does Tom Hanks so not seem like a Robert Langdon? That could just be cause I haven't seen either of the movies, but I never imagined Robert Langdon as Tom Hanks.

    One of my favorite authors. Exciting plot lines and rather technical in nature. I haven't seen any of the movies but the reviews I've read weren't as positive as I would've hoped.

    Lol I seriously doubt it would be as good as the book though. I would just wait for a download to come out if I were you :)

    Oh yeah his facts are super BS, but he blends it so well with some actual things, and then people assume things.......and well it goes downhill from there....

    I've read most of them and liked them as filler reads until my favorite authors put out new books with one exception, Digital Fortress, I've gotten to page 100 or so on my many attempts to read the book without falling asleep, which is pretty bad because I'll read just about anything and I've had the book for five years.

    Why do so many people hate digital fortress ._. I thought the the whole cryptography thing was pretty cool xD Yea well, his facts are simply changed to make his book look so realistic. Sadly many people think that his facts are all true.
