Yes I know its probably against the rules to ask for a download torrent link.

Well, MS just sent me a free copy of VS2008 Pro and the 2010RC. Had each on the computer for a week to see what I thought of them. If anyone was looking forward to VS2010, you are going to be sorely disappointed. I've used 2008 before and was not happy with it, but was assured that after the updates, it was better. It was, in fact, NOT better. Still using VS6 and love it. Just wish MS could simply update THAT instead of coming out with the crap they've been shoving in our faces.

VS2010 seems to be completely built around SilverLight. Big mistake imo. I don't like SilverLight, mainly because it is platform dependent (meaning that if you are NOT running Windows, ie. you use linux or a mac, then you aren't going to be using SilverLight).

Oh, I could go on and on...

Here's a link to VB6 Portable. The only drawback is that you have to insert a reg file before you start the program if you would like to compile a .exe. You'll just have to click on the link when you open the program on the splash page.

Didn't even know there was a portable out there!
I'm gonna HAVE to try this out. Does anyone have comments about it?
