I'm still thinking of coming back into programming and was wondering what sort of features people would want on an autobuyer. If I could get some feedback for it please, I will probably start work on it later today and keep everyone posted with screenshots until near completion. Cheers, Tweedie66.
A delay buy time to 2 seconds would be a nice feature. Also, if it supports going ito multiple shops, different lists spots would be nice. I use AU and it doesnt have either of those. Sometimes it gets items in .2 seconds and I just know I will get frozen for that one day.
I suppose I can add a feature to delay a buy between X-X seconds so it makes it a little more less obvious. For the time being it'll probably not support multiple shops however I may try to add this once its up and running.
Proxy support for sure most definitely. And then things like once bought send item to shop, sdb, trades, or leave in invent. Another option to save the page source as .html once you buy the item, this way the user can take screenshots if they want. And then the other basic options like the wait x minutes every x minutes and stuff.
AU DOES have a delay time thing you enter how much you want the program to pause for in one of the tabs (can't remember which though)
WTF! everyone and their mother wants to make an aber, like its the best thing in thw world. we have what, 8 different main shop autobuyers on nf already? do we really need another? Write something we don't have, something useful. I think a sser is way more important then a abe, but everyone makes an aber.... why? theres so many out there, the AU if it had proxy support that actually worked, would be the prefect aber...
Heh, I kind of have to agree here. Sure, it's a fun project, and cool to say you made one... but part of working in a community is picking out things which need to be done. If in a city, everybody decides they want to be artisans, you have a well cultured, starving city. Obviously, if you want to make a MS-AB'er, nobody is going to stop you... but you, and everybody else, would get more mileage from somebody starting up a tractor and making something we need. Just my 2c .
The only ABer I use is the AU. I don't even think/know if the other one's work or not. Plus, its always good to give the users a variety of things to choose from. And an ABer is like 100x easier to make than an SSer. I'll probably go (try to) make an SSer sometime over the summer.
Autobuyers are way too easy, as the captcha (which should be one of the hardest things to bypass on a 'decent' website) has that darkest-pixel weakness. I would love to see how nobody would be able to find a way to bypass an eventual new captcha on neo... except a few. (I don't think I would be able to as well, but it would really only depend on the type of captcha).
After reading the feedback and ideas, I am still going to go ahead and create the Autobuyer even though there are a few available. I don't feel they are really good quality like expon's but I am hoping to create one with quite a large amount of features included.
