Pokemon MMOPRGs

I've always loved pokemon, considering joining a pokemon MMOPRG as a time-waster.

Anyone ever played one of these before?

 

I played Pokemon World Online for a while at the behest of a friend, it's fun but massively unfinished. Still, if all you want is a time waster, go for it.

 

How is the battling, trading, and is there a good form of money?

 

lmfao i just started that pwo... its very primitive.

battling is similar to the video games but the interface is a little lame
havent traded with anyone
money you win after every battle, even with wild pkmn.


not something i could even waste time on without getting frusterated.

 

Sucks. Is the interaction between players good?
Easy to make friends, etc.?

I've played Pokemon World On-line, but I did'nt like it, because it's like in the gameboy, but without the music, songs or effects

 

I loved pokemon for a loooooong time. The worst thing was that people kept on posting on fake cheats on Youtube. OMG like the 100 rocket thing to get Jirachi ... Darn you people!

 

i love pokemon, really into it, iv tried to play an mmorpg before but it totally bugged up my computer. i'v played netbattle which is cool but its just a battle simulater, you choose all the stat afftectors items moves and such for your pokemon, its like how you can raise them but alot quicker because you can set them at level 100, you have to be abit of a hardcore fan to enjoy it though, and to understand it you have to learn all the junk about hidden values like dvs and evs.

 

pokemon will never work as a mmorpg...theres such limited things you can do with the game of pokemon, and gets complicated when you throw in the factor of levels/sending out pokemon etc..

But who knows..

 

I was always hoping an official pokemon mmorpg would be created. I know it won't happen though cause mmo's dont work with nintendo's friend code system.

 

the only pokemon online game i ever played was pokemon crater...it was pretty crappy

i tried pokemon world online, but it keeps freezing on me

I remember the time that pokemon crater had maps for the differnt types of pkm. Oh my god there was a legend map but its now gone.

 

Seems like a genius idea. What one is the best?

 

lol now see what they need to do is take stadium and make an online battle version of that, now that would be fun!!

I played that pwo the economy is alright, but its hard to level up becuase it takes a lot of exp... The best thing to do is have a few accounts and play through the game with the trainers repeatedly.

 

I've played a few, usually they're either really bad, or really good but still in-progress but destined to go on permanent hiatus. I've never actually seen a decent running one. :S
