Honestly, who do you prefer? Your dad or your mum? Many parents are supposed to at some point feel a stronger attachment to one child more than another, so its fair enough that children may feel a stronger attachment to one parent more than the other. Feel free to post if you have a non-traditional (non-Nuclear family) too. Ultimately I think you come to realize your parents are wwaaaay cooler than you give them credit for but still if you had to choose who would it be? I'm a mother's boy :lol: My dad is a marine engineer so he was away from home a reasonable amount so naturally I became more attached to my mother. Also as one of my mates once said "she gave birth to you, that's a #$%@'in good reason ain't it?" So who do you prefer and why? (P.S. If anyone says they prefer my mum or mentions mum jokes there will be trouble > )
I voted the way I think I would feel if my dad was still around (he died) my real father is alive but he isnt my dad anywhoo ... It would be my dad because I know I would totally get my way and I would be a daddies girl XD. I can't say anything bad about "mum" though as un cool as she can be I love her so much ...... Should have just voted both can I take my vote back hahaha
Hm, i voted equal. I'd feel too guilty if I chose one over the other. I feel obliged to like them equally So.. yeah both! Can't choose.
Eh, I don't know. I get on with them both, but if anyone, I'd have to say I get on better with my mum. I mean, me and my dad do get on, but I just don't see much of him; by the time he's got home from work, I've decided I'm going out for the night, or sleeping round someone elses house. etc.
My dad has always been the stable influence in my life. If he hadn't been there for me, my mom and I would have torn each others throats out years ago (regardless of how well we get along now). All I can say, is I <3 my dad.
I used to prefer my dad because he gave me everything I wanted and my mother didn't approve, so of course I didn't like her as much lol. Now that I don't see either of them very often though, I think I miss/love them equally.
I personally think that choosing between your mum and your dad is ridiculous. Both of them are equal to me, because they show me they love me. Period.
They are equally annoying. But my mom ican be more annoying because she acts as a child instead as a parent multiple times in the past.
My dad, for sure. My mom did stuped things to me when I was yonger and now I got some mental problems about it..
I think I like my Dad more. My parents got divorced when I was 6 and I just recently found out what really happened. It me lose some epic respect points for my Mum. Plus, me and my Dad have all these inside jokes, and I come first to him, before everything else.

Also this question is more a question of "like" than "love" Wow equal is leading, I expected mums to win by a landslide , I probably should have included another item to the poll, incomparable, as while I would question equality being an honest answer, trying to quantify and compare feelings is not always possible i guess wonder if I can edit the poll? Both of my parent's are full time workers. I only see them at night. But I know they love me both as much as they can, even though it's not equal. So, no choices here!
This is a pretty interesting topic, but I think it would laso be useful to have your gender attached to it. You sure we are not related? Haha.
I can't say which. Both of them are equal with their good and bad moments. xD 'Sides, I'm never one to take sides when it comes to parents/family. At least, now that I'm older. May be slightly off -topic: I heard somewhere that with three kids, the middle child is always the one who's left out. The dad favors the eldest while the mom favors the youngest. Anyone feel like that's true? I don't.
