Some people are happy w/ their married lives. Single people can be happy too w/o marriage. Are all people suited for marriage or is it only for certain types of people. Discuss here.

Not everyone is suitable for marriage. It is human nature (animal nature) to want a companion to live with for their lives. However, some people find that they can live without a companion by their side, and that's perfectly all right.

i do believe that the majority of the population benefits or desires marriage. however, there are just some people (i've met a few of them) that are much happier without the hustle and bustle of worrying about a family or a significant other/spouse. and they have their right to choose and be happy. some people just live better and are happier on their own. if they lead a solo life, are dependent on themselves and are happy.. then may they live long and prosper with that they desire.

Yea personally I will go through the marriage route. I have met several people who are single right now and will most likely plan to stay single. I prefer to get married, but as long as he/she is happy, that is fine w/ me regardless of being single or married.

    I also agree.

Me and my girlfriend plan on getting married ourselves. I've never been the type of person to stay single either. I just hate having the emptyness feeling without having my significant other there. Nor do i like "playing the feild" either. yet i also got friends who like to stay single because, well, you know how guys are.

How old are you, and how long have you two been together?

I don't see how people don't die of boredom without getting married and having children. What's to life, then?

Well, some people prefer settling down and relaxing. Others thirst for adventure and extreme excitement, such as mountain climbing or something dangerous.

Well, you can do all that adventurous stuff with your spouse, no?

They can be your activity buddy, and you should always be able to count on them. If I'm going to do something dangerous, I want someone I can really trust doing it with me. And I think the person you should trust most is your spouse, since you are sharing your life with them.

Personally, I think its natural to be with someone. Not necessarily 'marriage' because you can stay with someone forever without some fancy legal papers. Though, I do think the idea of being married is nice. It kind of makes it feel more 'secure'

I think I want to get married some day, though I'm not going to go searching for marriage. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, it doesn't.

It depends. "People are about as happy as they make up their minds to be-Lincoln". You can be happy in any situation reguardless of who you are, so get marryed if ya want, don't if you don't.

actually thats completely incorrect. human nature dictates that we are polygamous creatures. i.e we want to "spread our seed" so to speak, as much as possible. monogamy (being with one partner) is not in the human nature just a social construct.

now, im all for marriage and monogomy. im that kinda person. so
marry all the way guys :)

I believe its based on personal preferences. Majority of the people should be wanting to marry. There's only a minority who thinks otherwise, but it's fine. It's their life and how they want to live it lies with them. The only thing we can do is to give them advices.

I for me, definitely root for marriage. I wouldn't be able to stand being alone for the rest of my life. Yes, there would be friends around you but having one whom you love and care and vice versa beats anyone around.
