The only game I've really been any good at, I got a Gold Trophy for a 200k+ score a while back and thought I'd share my tips for this game with you. Most of these are common sense and/or pretty well known but for the newbies it can be a fairly easy trophy to get when you know how ...and one of the nicest looking in my opinion !! Ain't I just the pretties trophy there is? The Basics Sutek's Tomb is very simple, shape-swapping game that relies more on endurance rather than any skill. A few games and you'll get the hang of it, then you need to try and extend your time to get the highscores *NOTE* There is an avatar for this game when you send a score of 2000+ 4000pts = 1000NP Legit In-Game Cheats : plzsutekcanihavemoretime = extra 30secs. 1 use. Type all but the last letter early on, hit the 'e' when you need it. pyramibread = shows next move. Unlimited. First of all, there are 3 modes to this game: Easy 8x8 grid 5 Symbols - Gem, Geb, Tree, Pharoah, Sun Match 3 = 3pts Match 4 = 9pts Match 5 = 21pts Time Limit : 1min Hard 10x10 grid 7 symbols - Gem, Geb, Tree, Pharoah, Sun, Scarab, Shrine Match 3 = 10pts Match 4 = 30pts Match 5 = 70pts Time Limit : 1 min Zen 10x10 grid 7 symbols - as with hard Any combo = 1pt Time Limit : None/unlimited With all 3 modes the game play is the same - swap tiles by clicking on them (must be side-by-side or vertically touching each other) and if you make a match of 3+ those tiles are removed and the rest drop down to replace them, with new tiles being added at the top. If no match is made after you try to swap them they just move back to their original position. Although there is a 1min time limit to easy & hard, each time you make a combo and remove tiles a few seconds are added to your time so the game could theoretically go on for as long as you want it to ... which is kinda how you get this trophy. *note* There is no 'solution' or end to this game, it goes on until you run out time. The introductory text to this game can be slightly decieving for unsuspecting players as they ask "Can you unlock the mystery of the ancient tomb?" As well as the 5-7 basic symbols there are a few special ones that will show up occaisionally and give you a good score bump: Bombs - will act like a normal tile if you line up 3+. Drop it more than 3 squares down a column and it removes all tiles above it. If you get it to the bottom row it just pops and doesn't remove anything else. Painted Scarab - A kind of bomb. I've yet to see more than 1 at once so no idea if you can 3+ match them. Get it to the bottom row - it'll take out the entire column above it. Great for a lot of extra points. Coin - Acts as a wild, best used to make 5-combos. Ankhs - Looks a bit like a gold key thingy - Think Painted Scarab but also removes the bottom row. Even more points. TPOSG - rarest and best score bumb - Touches the bottom and takes out the entire grid Most of these are great but don't concentrate too hard on getting them to the bottom as you can easily run out of time, I find it's best just to play around the area they are in and hope to get the right moves eventually. If you run out of moves the grid will automatically refreash with new tiles - and give you a well earned break as you need to click to continue the game. Any 'special' tiles are removed if the board refreshes Tip/Tricks etc 1. It took me over 12hrs to get my top score (which incidentaly, would still get you a silver even this late in the month). Be prepared for a long haul and even have a day set aside to do it with no interruptions. Go to the loo !! 2. I said earlier this game is not based on skill, but you at least need to be able to spot possible combos quickly, get used to playing an hour or so at time to build up your 'spotting' abilities. 3. You only get 3 pauses so plan to use them wisely, even have a schedule where you'll play for 3hrs then take a break etc. 4. Take full advantage of 'no move reshuffles' to go to the loo, let the dog out, have a coffee etc. Your game will still be there when you get back ! 5. Be prepared to get a very decent score then suddenly run out of time ... it happens. Try not to clock watch (or sand-watch in this case!) - it's distracting, just get to know you're timing and you'll get a feel for when you need to hurry or not. For the same reason, mute the game sound, it's quite a catchy little tune and I've found myself humming along to it while playing and getting too relaxed! 6. If you start to panic because you see no moves, take a deep breath and concentrate - I find this happens late into the game when I'm getting tired. The 1 move I can't see is usually in a corner or along the top row. Remeber to use 'pyramibread' if you have time to type it - but will mess up your 'plzsutekcanihavemoretime' cheat if you've pre-typed it. 7. If that doesn't work, and you really start to panic - be methodical and check each symbol in turn - look for all the 2 trees together, then 2 shrines etc till you see your move. Or, start top left and scan each row till you see it - whatever works for you. 8. If you REALLY start panicking - hit the screenshot key (Prt Sc), pause the game then paste the picture into windows paint (or whatever) and find the move. Remember though, that this will use up 1 of the 3 pauses you have, so use wisely and ONLY when other methods haven't worked. 9. At the beginning when you're fresh and focused, try to build up as much extra time as you can by playing as quickly as possible. 10. MOST IMPORTANT - Never, ever, ever, get distracted watching the tiles drop or bombs explode, as soon as you've swapped and you know those tiles are going, search for your next move and get ready to click. (you can't make your next move until all other tiles are finished dropping/exploding). 11. Not really a tip but worth considering - I find I get better strings of combos by making vertical matches rather than horizontal, it could be coincidence but it seems that way to me. Feel free to prove me wrong That's about it, sorry for the lack of screenshots I'll try to add some later. If I've missed anything let me know. I realise this won't be to everybodies taste but it might help a few peeps out who want a legit trophy or are struggling to get the avatar. Re: Guide : Sutek's Tomb If you have a program to set hotkeys on, put Pyramibread onto the Hotkey and just keep using it. Works wonders for the avatar.
Re: Guide : Sutek's Tomb Very nice guide, the problem is sitting in front of the com for 12hours straight lol. Thats way too crazy for me. Btw, do you usually try to do 4 in a row if you can or do you just try to combine any 3 you can find together?
Re: Guide : Sutek's Tomb this is a good guide, i've been trying to get the avvy for a while.... thanks
Re: Guide : Sutek's Tomb If the pyramidbread cheat code always shows you the best move to make, then yes. downloads.php?d=276 Download that, put pyramidbread on F9, hit F9, do move, rinse and repeat.
Re: Guide : Sutek's Tomb btw,you can install Shortkey : www.shortkeys.com/lite.htm,you can add Pyramibread to any key on your keyboard,so you take less time to show hint
