announcements-rules-and-information-f73/how-the-reputation-system-works-t16891.html Okay so I was reading that... and this jumped out at me! How it works Each user has a 'reputation power', which determines how many reputation points they can give to another user. As a new user, you start of with 0 rep power, and then receive 1 rep power when you reach 50 forum posts. After that, you can receive 1 reputation power for each 400 posts or for each year you have been a member of the site. The maximum reputation power which you can have is 5. This means if you have 1 rep power, and you leave positive reputation for another user, they will be given +1 rep points. If you have 5 rep power, they will be given +5 rep points. You can also leave reputation if you have 0 rep power, however the other user will not receive any rep points - but your comment will still show up on their profile. *prods his repuation* I didn't get mine.... And apparently I'm not helpful enough because no one else +reps me...
Re: Reputation Points haahaa, i only get plus reps cuz i voted for some thing phee told me to vote for! but yea, surprising. you should have 1 rep power like me, but if you help out around the site, then you'll get +reps. i 've only get 2 now...
Re: Reputation Points Hey, let me give you a tip. If you want a reputation that's big, don't ask for it, just do it *COUGH So, you might wanna take this thread down COUGH*
Re: Reputation Points I don't think this is about his personal reputation as much as it's about the reputation power.. the thing that allows him to give /other/ people plus/minus rep. Right?? Which I would be concerned about too because I like to be able to give people credit for helping me out
Re: Reputation Points maybe im wrong but i kinda though you needed to have at least 1 rep point before getting 1 rep power
Re: Reputation Points really? i've given rep to many people when i was a newbie. maybe its some new thing.
Re: Reputation Points lol... I don't really care what I have... But I should have something... that way I can +rep others. Just thought I'd seek help in the matter... See if it's a mistake or just my mistake
Re: Reputation Points Your rep power is 1. That means when you +rep someone, you will add 1 to their reputation. Same goes for -rep, except you take 1 away.
Re: Reputation Points Oooh so I have Rep power... just no rep points. Okay... I knew there was a difference but didn't know what they were BOARD CLOSED P.S Thankyou everyone! P.S.S = Thanks for the minus rep... XD Thats not nice
